Best rabbit I ever had was at Belgian place in Rwanda. So good. In South Africa its illegal to sell a rabbit (for eating!) without a head because apparently you need to be sure its actually rabbit 
(things you learn in the restaurant game!) Not sure I’ve ever seen it here though. Might take a look. Nearly had it in Cambodia but that was loads of French eating.

Our government introduced myxomatosis to try and wipe out the rabbits, as they were an introduced species here so the mozzie's spread the disease the rabbits go blind from it so its probably good practice to have the head attached to see if eyes are cloudy and if its infected.
And it never wiped them out just caused more problems for pet rabbits

Teaching our cat not to kill the Chihuahua was hard enough. How I’m gonna teach it not to kill a sweet tasting rabbit - plus she wants a red one. Do you know how much a fk’in Red Rabbit costs here?! “I want a red one, Papa!”

I wouldn't think that would deter them at all. I have chipmunks and they crap all over the place but doesn't seem to phase them.
I've heard of predator urine being sprinkled around a garden to keep deer and such away, and imagine that would work just as well on small animals that could be on a predator's menu, but I wouldn't use their poop in my garden. There's something about not using carnivore waste on gardens because of parasites and other nasty stuff. That’s the one with the Aboriginal girls. I don’t know if it’s politically correct to say that but it was a good movie. The girls were very smart and well trained in living with their environment. CL
