Hello all,
Welcome to my first-ever attempt to grow marijuana. I chose the widow (fem) from Gorilla Seed Bank for this special occasion. My seeds arrived Monday 3/14/16 and two of them quickly went into a glass of spring water. This morning 3/16/16 I noticed both seed shells cracked open and the root was just starting to become visible. I gently placed both tip-down in Fox Farms Ocean Forest with additional Perlite mixed in. (After reading several cautionary posts about the fragility of the root during germination I decided to plant them just before I could injure them.) I also added a tiny pinch of Mykos in the seed hole. Each is in a 4" jiffy pot covered with plastic wrap with a book sitting on top for darkness.
Hopefully some luck will shine down on me and I'll be able to move them to my spiffy new tent setup by this weekend. I have little space to work with, so I chose a Gorilla 2x2.5 with a 300W LED and all the trimmings. I've been reading voraciously here for weeks trying to map out what I intend to do and take bits of knowledge here and there. I hope to provide a sound write-up of my experience and will gladly accept critiques and advice. Very excited!
