Hey Jam,
do you have a jewelers loupe or small magnifier? Rubber band the loupe around your cell phone with the loupe over the camera lens on the phone. Then use your phone's camera settings to zoom in as much as you need to get the subject in focus. My loupe has a little led light on it too. Works like a charm.

Also, what I do is email the photos from my cell phone to my gmail account. Then I download to the laptop to edit the photos and send them to where I need them to go.

ALRIGHTY then....let the harvest begin! I chopped the first plant this morning, White Widow 2, and have begun to trim.
This is going to be a very long process as I did a very nice job of smashing my right thumb between a log and wood stove last night. I have to trim, stop and ice and then trim again. LOL
Here's the tray of chopped buds:

And here's my set up for trimming. 2 foil pizza trays, one for trim and one for buds. I put the swing arm magnifier light on the table and it really helps see those buds while trimming.

I'm guessing I will be at this all day. LOL But this is soooooo relaxing.

I'll post a pic of the finished buds on this plant when I'm done.

Okay, White Widow 2 is complete. I wound up with 4.8 oz wet bud and about 1.2 oz of trim. Is that mediocre, good or lousy? LOL

4 more plants to go....no way in the world I will get those done today with the slow going due to this danged thumb injury. I shall persevere in the interest of "The Harvest MUST go on!"

That's good Canna...you will probably end up with 1/3- - 1/2 that weight when they dry but yes that is good...Nice job trimming...if it was me I would trim a few of those mid buds off the stem...Looks great...congratulations

I always get good and medicated when I trim...it seems like it takes a month to do one plant

I hope your hand feels better soon...it sucks to be hurt

You are having an excellent harvest...everything in your pictures I would dry together as bud...you don't really have any popcorn bud IMHO

LOL Jay, I already threw some in the butter bag. I'll retrieve any that I think are worthy of drying.
SO, on to the second plant completed. This is Master Kush 1. I wound up with 4.3 oz wet and about the same amount in trim as the White Widow. Although the Master Kush were less on the bud count, they were denser and mush easier to trim!

I think I'm done for the night with trimming. I will get up bright and early tomorrow morning and get an earlier start. Should go much faster now that my hands and eyes understand what they are supposed to be doing.

(And, yes of course....I was diligently attentive to the the scissor hash. )

Now that I look at those pics, I see some green leaves that need to be trimmed off yet. grrrrr......

You have done a very nice trim job...hurt and all...LOL every time I trim I scrape my scissor hash straight into the bowl

Don't worry about any leaves, you did a great trim ...when those buds dry they will tighten right up

Feels pretty good to have brought those plants to completion doesn't it

Did you wear latex gloves? Your wound might have been anaesthetised if you hadn’t?
