Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Good Morning everyone! :circle-of-love:

Has anyone here grown the Afghan Kush from Sensible Seeds? If so, do you remember the flowering time to your harvest?
According to the breeder info this should take 40-55 days. We'll be on day 60 here this weekend.

I think it's time to start checking the trichomes on these plants on a daily basis. Woo Hoo!

I'm getting a perpetual schedule together today combining Autos and Photo period strains. My goal is at least one harvest per month to keep myself in oil, occasional vape, and some sugar free edibles. I'm still pondering that goal, but it's time to get this grow a little more organized. :)

I was apprehensive to look at my power bill, after a month of full swing lighting upstairs and basement...but it was actually not nearly as bad as I expected. That's always a good thing, LED's are great!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful mornfternoon.

Luv's to ya all.

:circle-of-love:

A perpetual schedule huh? Since I'm just a new cannabis grower, I've certainly wondered about it. In my mind it all depends on how long my current crop lasts once it's finished and cured a bit. I really don't want to have to go buy more street weed and I'm very conservative with my usage. If I get lucky here (and I certainly do feel fortunate so far), my stash and my harvests might just work out. Things are certainly getting close and fortunately I have one auto in the mix at day 45 and one small photo-period getting real close.

With all that said, I'm thinking about running my tent pretty much as single grows from seed, veg, feed, harvest, clean it up, rinse and repeat. But then again, I'm trying desperately to get two clones to root. I'm just going to stay flexible...haha

I'm loving my LED too. So far my power bill hasn't been a shocker.

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Sitting here watching a movie classic "The Birds", thought I would post my trichome check photos from this morning.

This is the Afghan Kush plant that I think is coming due. The trichomes are starting to get milky/cloudy. Won't be long now. :) As you can see, I've got company down in the basement. Time to get the sticky mixture back in there. Do Gnats molt? There is a carcass just below this critter:

This is from the White Widow clone, she's pretty milky trich'd right now:

I have to stop scaring myself. This is probably due to the discovery of the nanners on WW x MK. LOL What I thought might be a nanner pod forming just turns out to be new pistils stacking up. :)

I thought these were purty:

One more just for funz, a bud on White Widow:

My avatar can look like a roaring beast.....it was intentional.
I took the picture of a lion yawning at a zoo one year, and photo shopped out the bars in front of her. I thought it fit me quite perfectly.

Amazing Partner! But I wouldn't expect anything less from the Queen DIY.

You've got frost galore going on.

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Next movie up on this rainy/cold/windy day "Psycho", the original.

So, I did some plant maintenance. I upotted the two Top Gal clones to the final pots and they are now soaking up under the Budmaster XG's with the Lil' purp. (who had some changes today, I will reveal all of that very soon)

Now, having finished that...I have something I want to say.

Based on some recent posts on a thread in regards to having "likes/Thanks/Reps" etc., I want to make it very clear to my followers why I post what I do.

What I DON'T do, is post to gain "Likes", "Thanks", or "Reps". I am not in any race to achieve the most recognition via those features, I don't really pay much attention to how MANY I have. I'm not here to keep up with anyone, nor do I pay much attention to how many THEY have.
I pay attention to who "liked" so I can follow up and know who is following, and answer any questions...etc. etc. It's certainly nice to know who is following your working Journal, without those features available how the heck would we know? Not everyone has the time to post, those buttons are an essential part of making things easier for our community.
The quantity? eh....as I said I'm not trying to achieve any numbers. LOL

What I DO here is keep a journal. In a journal you post your progresses, your pictures, your thoughts. You gain friends by a little chit chat now and then, getting to know your followers and community members.
I post pictures of my progresses and failures as well, because I know that this is what people want to see. I post pretty pictures and experiments with photos because I want people to see the beautiful nature of the plant the way I see it, and I know they appreciate it. It's not for attention, it's not for likes or Reps..it's because I just plain want to share the beauty.

If we didn't do these kinds of things on our Journals, what would be the point of having a journal at all?

I have to believe that most of the journals on this site are the same. They aren't doing it for the attention, they are doing it because they want to share and enjoy, as well as learn from others.

Okay, I'm off my soapbox. I just wanted you all to know why I do what I do and (I'm not real good with dripping sugar coated thank you's) I want you all to know how much I appreciate every one of you for following my grows and sharing my successes as well as my not so successful activities.

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

I've got some plants that are tough to get to watering due to the bottom busy growth. I just put a turkey baster to use on it. Worked perfectly! You can get that right into that jungle and to the center of the pot with no trouble.

Random home tip.....(worked great on my spidey plants as well, no water dripped down the curved leaves onto my floor. LOL)

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Oh oh....let me help you clean that up....(dang that pocket of mine was open and some must have fallen in there).....

:tokin::tokin:

i knew there would be dangers involved with keeping it on the kitchen counter.. but the couch, coffee table, carpet around them and my sweat pants just couldn't absorb any more. thanks for takin the hit for me CF lol. :high-five:

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Turkey basters work great to remove the runoff in saucers of big, heavy pots too.:thumb:

:Namaste:

Watering spider plants with down curved leaves is my largest home watering challenge :)

You've been a busy poster this mornfternoon (totally unpronouncable word - IMO,) in an enjoyabe way, showing off the frosty White Widow, labelling photos of up-potted plants, the usual excellence.

Nice rant on the like and thank button. I'm just here to do a journal, help out a little, pick peoples brains a little, be with friendly people. POTM, NOTM, MOTM, most thanked person, etc is for those other people who really excel. I hope they enjoy :)

I thought I might dip my toe into LEDs this month, what with the two different lights that went out, but I just replaced bulbs. Pennywise and pound foolish, but it's the way to responsible stay within my monthly budget.

re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

An update on the beast plant I have now named "Himher"

It's doing great in the sunlight daily, still tied up so I have room to walk.....:blalol:

himher_1.jpg

If I don't get any big buds, I'm at least going to have some awesome sugar leaves. LOL

himher_3.jpg

Doc Bud went out of his way this past week to tell us 90% of what he personally smokes are sugar leaves. He considers them filet mignon, and your HimHer is loaded with them! Good for you Canna. :high-five:

The turkey blaster idea was brilliant. I never thought of using it that way, although I have done as John suggested, so I have one with my grow equipment.

Thank you for the rant. As prolifically as I post, it's never been about numbers. The numbers freak me out, so I try not to notice.

I didn't trim my (tiny) sugar leaves on half my recent harvest. I'll probably skip trimming other harvests.
In my experience the taste was just a smooth as trimmed buds. My harvest was washed and I smoked through water, but those who smoked pipes didn't mention a thing.

Hey there Lady!

If you want to try a good Sativa Auto with up to 23% thc, try the Wild Thailand Ryder from World of Seeds. They are available from Herbies.

I just wanted you to see how I keep my seeds fresh. I vacuum pack them and put them in my special bag.

I just like the bag.

This would be good for Guerilla Growers. With the court jester bells, it reminds me of Magic Beans from the play "Into the Woods."

100% of the plants I grow are used for medicinal purposes....my patient #1 likes the sugar leaves to make tincture, salve, and dry caps for pain....she makes a tea out of the stems...another pain patient is very particular about only taking the very best of my buds....it's funny what each person's taste is....me, I am left with the plant dregs for my own personal use and seem to be fine.....I wash my buds as well....am growing a Darkstar indica as one of my offerings at the moment per the recommendation of Cajuncelt so I can make the oil... I will be asking for help when that day comes during the winter months when I am ready to take the leap....it's all good.....

I gotta have one of those bags!! That is so perfect. I'm doing a net search immediately. :)

I have the Wild Thailand Ryder on my list for the next seed order, happy to know that HERBIE's has them.

How did your buds look at harvest, and do you remember how long it was to chop day?

My next seed order is going to be dangerous...........
