Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

For me it's a fusion, necessary due to circumstances. I use proper hempy pots, holes punched, leaving a small pool in the bottom. However, with my SOG in 32oz cups, they can dry up pretty quick, especially wks 2-6 or 7 in flower. I can't...well....REALLY don't want to hand water up to ....ummm....way too many to admit to..... even 1 time per day. Hell, I no longer want to hand water anything daily except my animals. Timers and tubes are simply tools to ease my work. A 2.75 gallon res under each table with a bottom draw pump helps keep required water depth low, and thus waste low. Friday and Saturday get no res additions unless EC gets crazy, so by Sunday morning (change day) there's maybe 1" or less in the bottom of the res. Not that there's any wasted, really. My Daffodils are loving the res dumps, lol.

Heirloom, anything that makes it easier on you is a true benefit for sure. Can't wait to see those plants get bigger. I'll keep a watch at Grizz's journal for updates, and you can post here anytime you feel like it too.

Radogast, yeah...it does sound like a hydro set up. Here's the plan, the shower stall will be just plain hempy pots..simple.

I also want to put some plants outside the shower stall in there, but it's carpeted, a very light color, and I just don't want spilling or overflow potential. With nutrients in the solution, I fear staining even if I could soak up any boo boo's.
Hence the reason for the jet sled. I probably won't cut a hole in there, we'll see how this goes as I set it up. I do want to try a timed watering system just to see how that goes too, and I want to be absolutely sure the plants are in something that can contain the water if something should happen. Like a timer failure.

"Holy Trichomes Snowstorm, Batman!!"

This is the kind of snow covering I would prefer to see. This is Purple Paralysis #2 and she is incredibly frosty!
I had so many nice pics, I couldn't "pick" them all...so here's a few:

HI Duggan, great to see you. It's about time someone (Ziggy?) brought that Delorean back. I need to borrow it and get away from this white stuff outside today.
I'm just about to put some raisins in a bowl with some Orange liqueur to plump up. I have a special plan for them in the morning for breakfast. ;-)
Top o' the day backatcha!

Ya...i know all about your skills with food. Ya, it's Ziggs:) He likes to torture me cuz he knows how much i like sweets and , well,...good cookin:)
About your garden C...looks good but it's a little early for those yellow leaves on the one.....what happened there. She still has a ways to go and would be better to see her greener for a stronger finish. Thoughts 'C'.

These flowering girls are on a come back rebound from a major attack by aphids and thrips. I had almost given up, but managed to kill off the bugs and stop the cycle. So, I let them go and started some nutes. I've been feeding her some Cal/mag and some of the SNS bloom formula to see if I can get that leaf correction going. She's stubborn. The rest are doing okay, but they are really bare. I removed every leaf that had the "infection" and burned them while trying to get the critters killed off. My soil is most likely depleted of nutrients because I was not going to waste any more on critter eaten/dying plants. That make sense?
Any other suggestions are welcomed for sure. :)
So, that's their story. The other plants in flower, were not affected by bugs and they are a beautiful color.

Yes they are a great color C. Thanks for going thru all that for me, if i was around here a lil more i woulda known that , my bad !:wood: Well, in that case you did an excellent job with her. She still may get some color back. Other than that her posture is good and she is budding and bulking up, despite what she endured. Cheers C...and friends.:circle-of-love:

I didn't have time to dedicate any really sharp trichomes shots for you, but I always have you in mind when I take them.

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

I got a present in the mail today. Some 6.5" drip rings and adapters. I'm going to try to set up a drip system tomorrow, just a basic one using an old aquarium pump to see how it goes.

Gotta love experimenting....and if it makes that watering easier and more timely...then that's even better.

PP is funny. They list it as pest resistant.... Uhhh...which pests? Sharks? Snakes? Armadillos? Certainly not the big three we face.

Nice Cannafan. Very, very nice. The trichs on #1.....

:jawdropper::thedoubletake:

Pardon me while I gather my jaw and put it away. Sorry for the drool in the floor.

Thanks Heir! I'll soak up the drool with a turkey baster and add it to the watering buckets....you never know...might be just what Ms. Stubborn needs.

I've found the more I take the human component out of the equation, the better they do. Water on timers is one of the best advances in gardening, indoors or out. It's far more consistent than you or I will ever be.

I was pricing out those hydro trays the other day, wasn't going to buy one..but they happened to come up during my search for drip rings. I cannot believe how much they get for those things! It would be cheaper to buy a plastic kiddie pool, or those smaller PVC pet pools with drain spouts, and adapt that to a hydro set up.

Hey gang, if you're looking for an unusual grow. We've got one for ya.
Member Eyes4Grandpa is going to try to grow his own meds. He is blind, but is determined to do this.
If you want to follow along or just stop in and wish him good luck, offer advice...or just hang about for support, here's his thread. He's in the set up phase now, has all of the supplies he needs, and he'll start germing very soon now!

Purple Paralysis #3 is in chop progress while I have my coffee. I got up really really late this morning, mostly because I was up really late last night.

I fixed the portable humidifier this morning to put in the bud pantry (formerly my food pantry ) Hoping I see some better RH in that room now. It's on a timer, and it has a great low to high feature on it. It's old, but I really love this one.

Anyway, hope everyone is having a great morning. I'll try to post some pics later after the bud warsh and hanging to dry.

Projects...projects...my day is filled.
