UPDATE Seedlings and Veg 10-18-16
Good news, the Pineapple Chunk is growing normal and looking very nice. She's in the back row of the pic. There was one White Widow regular that I worried about sprouting, I dug it up once and determined it to look possibly okay so I buried it again. It finally came up and is growing well now. All three Purple P's are doing great as well.
I also planted the two White Cookies clones today, they had a nice set of roots.

Good news, the Pineapple Chunk is growing normal and looking very nice. She's in the back row of the pic. There was one White Widow regular that I worried about sprouting, I dug it up once and determined it to look possibly okay so I buried it again. It finally came up and is growing well now. All three Purple P's are doing great as well.
I also planted the two White Cookies clones today, they had a nice set of roots.

All of the veg kids are doing well. The White Widows are getting tall, I will not be training them as I usually do. Au' natural on this one. I might have to train them down once into flower a bit, because they do put out some pretty good stretch. I will be forcing sex soon on them to determine if there's a male. (I'm hoping) I also really really need to get them transplanted to bigger pots. Sure hope I can do that today.
The FV x MK reveg isn't putting out anything new yet. But I have faith, it does take a while.

Blue Dream Clone and the TrainWreck have been brought upstairs for chopping tomorrow.
I found one cola on the TrainWreck that had worm damage to it, that one was removed and I could only save the top part of it. You can see it off color in the pic of the plant. I'm surprised I only had the one that was damaged.
I am of the opinion now that I can do better with my potted plants in an indoor controlled environment than I can outdoors. Outdoors will be fine if I can find some ground that has the necessary soil and moisture to give good vital growth, as long as I keep the bug prevention methods in gear during the grow. I have an area planned for next year, and it has a water spigot near it so I can plan on watering on a timer system. There will be more than MJ in the garden of course. It's going to take some work to prepare, but....I will enjoy it. I'm sure of that.
So here's the two girls getting chopped tomorrow:

Ha! There is a hill out here just waiting! Ya, gold mine exploring sounds fun man. We got a few national parks up in these mountains that have massive trails. I plan on doing a summit hike up 1 of the mountains for my 50th bday this coming summer. Complete hip replacement surgery 2 yrs to the date! Well, I've heard the replacements are sometimes better than the real thing. You're going to have a ton of fun!
I used to tie myself to my jeep just outside the mine I was heading into. Took LOTS of rope....for that "just in case a shaft appeared at your feet" out of nowhere. Ahh...the dangerous things I did when in my younger days.

I have to look at your lighting, if it's LED try no closer than 12" if I remember correctly. Someone will correct if I'm wrong there. I use Flourescent or CFL for sprouts. If it's CFL or Flourescent, get them as close as you can to reduce stretch and keep them low. Put your hand between the light and the top of the plant, if your hand doesn't get uncomfortably warm then you are good to go. LED is a bit different and the manufacturer instructions should give you a guideline to follow for the plants.
And don't worry on the mistaken gender, it happens all the time and it doesn't bother me one little bit. Easy to do, because I really don't give a clue about it most times.

Yeah, I think mine suggested 12" to 24". So you should be good.
