Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & More!

Re: Cannafan's Perpetual Grow - Where Everything Changes - Autos - Photos - Seeds & M

Whatever the parent is, I've seen these laid on a deck rail last year. Stink bug is probably correct.

They are in the family of Pentatomidae that includes shield bugs and other stink bugs. Every year I have a few of the brown stink bugs that gather in the "attic" for the winter months. They truly do give off a foul smell when you "take them out".

I'm going to have to go on a shield bug hunt, there are some in the tomato garden too. They feed off the stems and they seem to like the tomatoes once another critter has opened them up.

Anyone that can confirm or deny that these are Shield bugs egg? I think they are, based on how they are laid out in a pattern like that, and I found a roundish variety of shield bug on a leaf of that plant:

Those eggs look to be from a "Sloe Bug" ("Dolycoris Baccarum") which is a type of shield bug also called a "Hairy Shield Bug".

Dang, I haven't seen any purple ones here yet. I have seen all other colors. I keep adding info on these things to the bad bug section of the blog. These critters are going to have 5 pages soon.
Thanks for the pic! I will add that one.

Shield Beetles, Shield Bugs, Stink Bugs

I went out and checked over all the plants and don't see any other eggy leaves. I will keep checking periodically now, and I'll be spraying some SNS stuff on them again. Hopefully it tastes bad to them. :)

DISCLAIMER: They may be from some other form of Shieldbug. They just look like eggs from the Sloe Bug (Hairy Shield Bug). This pic is confirmed eggs from the Sloe Bug:

The shield bug eggs and related family all look quite similar, minor differences. The main thing is the patterns on how they are laid on the leaves and the size. It gives a viewer the general idea of what kind of critter is attacking them. I saw so many different eggs (textural) on google images, it would be almost impossible to pin it down to one specific shield bug type without a pic of it, but at least I know it was that kind of bug.

very scary in my world....

You're welcome Shawnee. :) We're going to have a bookshelf all it's own for our MJ reading materials. LOL

Okay all, update on the indoor kids. One of them is now an outdoor kid ready for flower time. The WW x MK x THC Bomb has been put outside. It was getting way too unruly for the space and it's been vegging a long time anyway. I'm going to have to think of a name for this strain I created. How do we combine White Widow, Master Kush, and THC Bomb into one name that says it all? LOL

I also transplanted the two seedlings to big girl pots. The White Cookies went into a 6 gallon approx. plastic bag pot, and Lemon Venom went into my normal 4 gallon-ish fabric pot.
They are inside with Carnival.

Carnival is having a carnival of growth. She may need to go into flower as well.

I'll be topping the two seedling girls in a couple days. After they get acclimated to their new digs.

Ruh Roh! Trouble in the cove.....

These two custard cream clones are starting their flowering in the cove:

And it's a good thing I went down to check on the cove today. We've got a male!

male_cove_2.jpg

Male_cove.jpg

I was scratching my head trying to figure out how a male got in that threesome. I went back on my thread to the day I planted those clones and when I said they were all Custard Cream clones, I mentioned "I think". Now I remember that I was unsure on one of them. All three had been used to try a graft, which failed. Then I rooted them, but forgot to mark one of the cups. One of three could have been a WW x MK cutting, which I was growing for the 420 Motoco Memorial grow. It turned out male. (they are regular home cross seeds, not feminised.)
So, this is that male cutting.
Now I could get really crazy and let it blow it's little particles around on those Custard Cream plants.....but the chances that some of that pollen makes it over the hill, whether by wind or critter carriers, to the house where the rest of the girls are?? NO WAY!
I'm cutting it down.

So now, I really need to watch that White Kush Bomb I just put outside. I just went out and looked with my loupe and do see two very small pistil areas. Let's hope it stays female. LOL

The one at the pond does not have any sign of either yet. The other two plants are flowering.

'White Kush Bomb' :laughtwo:

That's exactly the one I was thinking! It says all three and it's simple.

Gee...I guess brilliant minds DO think alike! I thought I was being original!

Well, you certainly are original. :) Timing is everything, we three got our heads in the same place at the same time.

I had to giggle.....

I've been pondering for a long time about making Cannabis Incense, and devoting an area somewhere to burn them and kick back (other than the house)

I decided to start a little digging on how to make it, and ran across an item on Scamazon. It's called "Cannabis Incense Sticks".
For real. LOL
In the description it says:

About the Product
Cannabis Incense Sticks have a relaxing floral scent. These fine Incense Sticks capture the lush scent of cannabis flowers and are perfect for relaxing with friends and family.
These incense sticks let you create the perfect mood for relaxation, entertaining and a truly stylish home.

Soooo.....is that the skunkiest strain of flowering cannabis...or fruity skunky.... or a Lushy Skunk? (Pepe Le Pew wafting around comes to mind as my family sits around the card game table after a nice meal)

You can see where I'm going with that. Just what cannabis flower scent did they model this after?

My search continues, now that I've had my giggles in these wee hours.

And then I ran into a little tip on controlling smell in the grow room by using mosquito coils and painting/soaking them in scented oils like jasmine or lavender incense oils.

Gonna try that!

:circle-of-love:

And yep...I'm going to dive into making some cannabis resin incense. This ought to be fun.
