Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

Anybody know if Project CBD is a reputable information source or are they bascially a dispensary?

I did find some ratios listed there on THC/CBD for specific things, but I'm not posting it unless I know for sure.
They have links to finding dispensaries in areas near to the patient, but I really don't see that they are selling oil or cannabis themselves. They are a registered non-profit...according to the site.

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

I read something about a video of woman who claimed to cure her IPF with the oil, but I never found that either.
Unless Cajun or someone can supply some documented information, it is still something little known in my own searches.

Supergroomer, I keep running into sites that talk about an Australian study done on CBD reversing Dementia.
Maybe a few searches into google can find it for you. I found an abstract, but it's one of those sites wanting to charge you for the full study.

That's all I got.

Hey Johnny, you around? Got any knowledge you can drop on us?

:circle-of-love:

I saw your post, I completely missed that video the first time through here last night. ;-)

OMG, he's communicating!

Just joshin' on ya johnnycake

Seriously though, you have any info on the Dementia or the IPF with the people you've been treating? Ratios of THC/CBD?
I'm trying to help....but I'm of no real help. So I feel "helpless"...

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

Not much here, I'm afraid.

Except:

One of my last crop partners (you may remember him as imaginary Buck) is/was in a paid COPD study using smoked and vaped pot as an expectorant (a substance used to loosen and thereby cough up flem from the lungs). Imaginary Buck swore by the effectiveness at helping clear his breathing.

And this:

Look this up....cannabinoids stop Alzheimer (a dementia) progression.

I know this isn't much, but I believe CCO is beneficial to both these conditions, especially when THC is tacked, and either THC or CBD heavy. Remember that the miracle of Charlot's Web CBD is that kids can take it without getting "high". My theory is that the woman who made a video about using CCO high in CBD to cure her IPF would have also been successful had she used a CCO high in THC. Time will tell.

Thanks for all your work, Fanny.....we need a lot more info on all levels, that's for sure!
And you make cake? IloveyouIloveyouIloveyouIloveyouIloveyouIloveyou.....ad nausium .

Thanks Johnny!

I agree, we need a lot more info. Readily available information that people can search for like they would find when they search for the effects and results (and I say that loosely) of big pharma crap.

This needs to be legalized, so the funding can happen for proper research and studies!

Makes me so damn mad......

So vaping being like a nebulizer treatment....interesting. I had severe bronchitis that turned into double pneumonia a few years ago, I had to have those nebulizer treatments several times a day, and some at night. Always wondered what was actually in them as far as medication.

As I finish off the eighth stick of celery in 15 minutes, this one with the roasted garlic hummus....the artichoke spinach hummus is not so 'hot' (garlicy).....that offer sounds too good to be true, but deadly for a heart guy like me! But yummie! With REAL ice-cream! *walking to the freezer for frozen yogurt*

Do you have USB cords for the Elph, and does it hold a memory "stick"? And USB on your abacus? ( assumption being you know what USB is? LOL)
I can help/train/go over it with you via PM or email, just say 'da word. It's time we got you going with this. :high-five:

Dennise, I saved you some cake too. Pops Birthday cake, he loves both Frostings...so I had to use both.

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

Ok guys. I need some help again. The father of my wife's best friend's husband has been diagnosed with frontal lobe dementia. Since cannabis is a nero protectant, do we have any hope of helping here? Thanks guys and gals. :circle-of-love::peace:

Hey supergroomer.. I been recently treating a 83 yr old lady who has the onset of dementia. Now her son swears by it stating how it brings her back to her " Norm". Now there are a few factors here...[1] Cannot verify what type of dementia her is. [2] He does not give her daily dosages , only when she seems like she is having "one of those days".[3] Since she is not taking the CCO everyday cannot be sure if it would reverse the disease but does do the trick when she needs it. I made up 1/4- of a drop [1/100th of a gram] capsules for her using the strains Northern lights & Critical Kush( next time I will use the Cannatonic strain to see if it makes a difference since it will have a significant amount of CBD). May not be very useful to you but hopefully will help a bit. All the best.

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

Hey cajun, or anyone SweetSue herself suggested I message you. I've been reading your links about cco. Now granted I could Google all of these but I like to pick the minds of more experienced people than myself and I like their personal opinion. My grandmother in law has suffered from strokes, seizures and has been showing signs of dementia. We couldn't get her to smoke or vape or anything like that. We wouldn't really want to get her high (her and my MIL are of sorts against cannabis 99% due to the fact of it being illegal and a taboo to some of the older generations. If there were no high whatsoever we could convince my MIL to give this to her mother. So there is no issue with that. I know there are rubs and such which is what I believe cco is? Now would it be beneficial to use cco with her? Or is there another method that's more beneficial? I'm sorry if you have already answered these questions numerous times to others. Thanks on advance!

HI OEF Vet,

Treating internal conditions with CCO is not a rub. The most common method is "Tacking" the oil, via the gums and allowing it to absorb. There are other methods, like ingesting capsules and suppositories for different specific problems.
If you read the very first post on this thread, there are links to the "Tacking" protocol and to the Oil making.
I would suggest reading through the first couple of pages of those first to get an idea what it is about.

There are "rubs" such as topical applications in the form of creams/lotions that are made with cannabis oils, but those are generally for external things like sore muscle relief, aches, and skin diseases.

Also, the last couple of pages here had been discussing things like you described above. Read through that as well.

The "Tacking" of CCO does not get a person high if done properly. :) I fully understand their worries on that, in addition to the illegal aspect of it. It can be tough to convince someone to try it for sure.

Welcome to the thread and let us know if you have any more questions. Any specific questions regarding making or tacking the oil should go on the respective threads for answers for easy searching by future members wanting specific answers. We watch those quite closely too. This thread is a more Off Topic general discussion in regards to the oil, but we do cover quite a bit here. Thanks for subscribing and we look forward to any help we can provide. :)

re: Cannabis Oil Users Cafe & Lounge

With the help of some of the members here, I have been looking into the "dementia" aspect of using CCO for the last 24 hours. There are not a lot of studies (obviously) but the ones I have seen seem to say Cannabis helps the symptoms (anger and such) but does not necessarily help the underlying disease. I did not see any mention of CCO. Since we know that Cannabis is a Neroprotectant (hell the govt holds the patent for that) I would think that it couldn't hurt. As for seizures, we know it helps with that. I am thinking a balanced oil (1 to 1) THC/CBD might be the most helpful, but I would like some input from Cajun on that.

Canjun will probably check in in the next day or two. When he is working he has a hard time with internet access. There are some posts above this with some info from other members. I will let you know anything that I find here on this thread. Good luck. :cco::peace:
