Yes indeed, it's a wonderful thing Canna. The start of many more wonderful things.

LOL! Agreed. It's amazing how quickly things begin to change though, eh? I'm looking forward to losing the stiffness in the knees. Maybe tomorrow I'll finally be able to do Callanetics, and that may help some, but the brownies will do it immediately.

I'll be planting on the 4th. I know I have Dark Devil Auto and I'm sure there's another acceptable Auto in the seed bank. Hmmmm..... This might be a good time to get some of those autos Cajun just finished up with. I need to get over there and check his list. I can't remember which one he recommended most. Atrain's been after me to try some Mephisto seeds.

Ok, time to get my journal up and running so I can do this type of conjecture there. This homelessness isn't working for me anymore.

Sue, your current journal, even though you kind of closed it, is still running. Why start a new one? It's a home that you've had for a very long time now and you have lots of permanent residents there.

I finally got my oil made... I got 13 grams of night time out of 2.7 zips and 7 grams of daytime out of about 1.5 zips... Then I ran out of solvent... I have to order more kleenextract but this gives me plenty for awhile... We also made 6 grams for a friend out of the bud trim from my outside grow... I got that out of about an ounce and half of just trim.... It was amazingly resinous herb...... Anywho she started her first time tacking this afternoon for muscular pain and some pretty heavy depression issues.... So I have her starting at .5 grain... 3 times a day after meals and not after that as its sativa for now...

It can be a challenge to remember to pull yourself away from the process to document Dennise. Been there, done that. Great haul girl. Well done.

For the record, what strains? Starting weight? Total amount of oil?

I'm going to use an ice bucket from my bar to put my smaller pitcher in. Nestled in the ice while I crush the buds this time. Keep things as cold as I can during that step.

Using an ice bucket brings up a question I can not find the answer to.

When doing the cold extraction can someone tell me exactly why it is so critical to do it so fast? Why do you only have 6-8 minutes to do both washes before it it is strained and the evaporation started, or put in freezer to winterize? I understand that's what has to be done but it would help me to understand the chemistry behind it.

Hey Cannafan, would you mind taking one of your outstanding pictures of (used) washed flower after the wash and after it has dried, maybe we can see how much of the trichomes are gone or still there?

I think 6-8 minutes is actually longer than Tim told me to do it and the reason behind it is that longer just pulls waxes and plant matter and you want your medicine to be as pure and clean as possible... Anyone please correct me if I got this wrong........

I have the same ones. Look for NeoMed oral syringes, 6ml amber. You can find them on fleabay or amazombie I'm sure.

That's exactly right D.
Everyone did lots of studies/testing on this, including Tim & I.
Washing longer than 3 mins did not increase the absorption of cannabinoids. And like Ranger Mother (Dennise) said, longer washes amounted to more lipids, waxes & chlorophyll.

I chopped the first of my CBD grows today. I waited a LONG time to get the trichs perfect. I'm pretty stoked.
