Candy Canna Multi-Strain In Candyland

Oops, sorry! I would probably try it again if it were me, just for overkill’s sake. Nothing to lose right? But don’t hold off dropping new ones over it. Chances seem small if you already scuffed them up.

I rolled up the sandpaper into a pill bottle and shook them up. It was 120 grit if that makes any difference.

that's a good method. i give them a scratch with the striker from a wooden matches box...

:thanks: & I’ll give em both another good scuff up. My family has me running ragged ATM but once I get caught up I’m gonna go ahead a drop some new ones cuz I think you’re right!

That sounds like a great idea works for the match why not a seed! :)

I think the GSC finally cracked with the final shake in the bottle. I put her in a puck.I did the same with HG no crack tho so put her in a paper towel. Here’s some pics of the GSC before and after

One of the plants that I've got going now took 12 days to sprout-I'd given up on it at about 8 days,
sat it on the bench out in the cold garage, and 4 days later,I noticed life in the cup....that's why I have 3 plants now, instead of 2...
So I'd say there's still hope for your non-sprouters....
The 3 that did sprout look great!

Great before and after pics Candy.

Can you elaborate on that a bit? Is that after they soaked in the water? You shook them in the bottle of water?
I've never tried that. What's the benefit do you know? Any reason why clouds look cool?

:thanks: & it would be a bummer to give up on them. I’ll give GSC a start over since she is cracked now and replanted, HG I’ll keep checking the towel for a few days and see if anything comes to fruition,& I’m hoping Afghani will pop her head up soon since she did pop a root out of the puck at 4am yesterday. I also remember that huge male you had, wasn’t that one that was tossed out the window? That was awesome:love: Hope you have a great night!

:laughtwo: 6 days ago they were scarred with sandpaper that was in a pill bottle, then soaked in a shot glass until they sank. Then today they still had not cracked so I put them one at a time back in the sandpaper lined pill bottle and shook them around to scratch them up & GSC cracked but HG did not. :laughtwo: Was that better? ;)
Any reason why clouds look cool?
I dunno they sure do tho! :laughtwo::green_heart:

lol, perfect! I understand it all now and thanks! I was hoping you knew about the clouds more than anything really. :p
Thanks for the evening chuckle! :laughtwo: Hope you have a great rest of your day!:peace::love::Namaste:

Almost- when it sprouted,I already had 3 in the grow box, so I stuck him in the ground last February in the 40 degree weather, figuring it'd probably not make it. It grew pretty slowly till the weather warmed up a bit, then he really took off.
I chopped him before he started chucking pollen, but I took a clone and got a little pollen from it.
One of my male plants this year was him and Ms.Cheese's offspring- I went a little light on the pollination,so I've only got 4 seeds left...wouldn't surprise me if they're all boys....

Ohhh yeah now I remember! He was a tomato plant and I also remember Mr Bill  That was right around the time I found your journal and I was hooked! I sure hope you have some girls in there, I’ll cross my fingers and toes for you!

Update
Lemon OG is on day 4, ATF & African day 3, and got a surprise around noon with Afghani finally peeking her head out! She came like way out to the right of the puck like she was coming up sideways :hmmmm: but just happy she’s up and she has stood up even more since the pic was taken. I had also checked on HG and the shell finally cracked in the paper towel and I put her in a puck in the dome. I’m hoping HG & GSC will pop up anytime now. :cheer:That’s all the excitement I’ve got for this garden today. Thanks for stopping by! :peace::love::Namaste:

Update
LOGC is on day 7, ATF & African are on day 6, Afghani is on day 4. Day 5 for GSC in puck, HG is on day 4 in puck. I did a mild investigation and peeked in and there definitely appears to be something going on in there so I re-covered the hole and closed the dome. These girls are really trying my patience to not drop replacements but since I’ve seen a change I’ll hold off a lil bit longer....another day or 2 then I’ve got to drop so they don’t get extremely behind these other ones. Anywho, that’s all the excitement in this garden today!
Hope y’all have a good rest of your day, evening, night or whatever time it is when ya read this. :peace::love::Namaste:

Update
LOGC is on day 9, ATF & African day 8, Afghani day 6. GSC 7 days in puck, HG day 6 in puck. My man has had the flu since Sunday, the boy came down for a visit on Monday & he is sick as well and now between the two of them I now have whatever crap they have. Anywho, I checked the pucks again and still no root or head poking out so I scuffed another HG & GSC with sandpaper and they have been soaking in lukewarm tap water since around 10am. I didn’t toss the pucks just in case something pops up and if I wind up with all of them popping up then I’ll just have to find a home for two of them. Crossing my fingers & toes these ones will pop and grow. That’s all I got for now, can’t keep my eyes open gonna hopefully take a nap. Peace
Thank you for stopping by :peace: :Namaste:
