I went to check on my girls this morning and noticed plain as day on ATF puncture marks on one of her leaves pics

I saw this lil thing but it wasn’t moving at all, I moved it over with a toothpick and still nada. I could get any closer or clearer.

saw some stuff like this here and there don’t know if it’s dirt or from bugs

The Blue Monster has three leaves being munched on. The dots on the first pic on the leaf are actually raised like it’s about to be punctures

When thoroughly to the best of my ability inspecting I never saw anything moving and only saw a couple of those suspicious things I couldn’t make out or get a better view of that didn’t move.
The only couple of things I can think of is my man was working out in the yard this past weekend tearing out bushes and such and insisted on giving me a hug and I didn’t want to be an ahole so I gave him one and was wearing my sweater (I’m always cold) and forgot to take it off when I went into the grow room. Also he walks in there all the time looking for me with his boots that goes god knows where even after I asked him not to. Either way regardless of what it is and how it happened I do have unscented Castille Soap and Neem oil.
I used Neem oil my first 3 grows as a preventative then the 4th grow on the 2nd or 3rd dose their leaves got thrashed! Maybe I messed up the amount of Neem is what I’m thinking maybe happened that time. I’m just super gun shy now but know I gotta handle it now so it doesn’t get worse.
I kinda feel like someone put a voodo spell on my grow this go around. Between the issues with getting some seeds to cooperate then the problem child, now bugs. I’ve been thrashed from the lupus flare the past couple of weeks and really didn’t need or want so many issues from my zen space. Dang it
Anyone recognize what it could be?

My hubs has a cat but he never can go or get in there I keep the door shut unless I’m right by it. This just appeared overnight sometime between lights out and whenever it was when I ventured in there. I wonder mice maybe? I haven’t physically seen any mice but do know we have at least one I heard it the other day in the garage. I thought I might have heard a cricket a few days ago in the room couldn’t tell where it was coming from tho. (My phone ringtone is crickets too so it may have even been that that I heard.) I’ll put a few traps in there and see if I get anything. See you did help!

Hi cc VG mentioned to me you had mysterious bug bites that maybe I would know something about. Unfortunately I don‘t . I, too, havent seen quite that before, except maybe from little grasshoppers (but they tend to eat from the edge and i only saw that once in your pics).

Smaller things like thrips and mites would leave smaller marks. That seems like a bigger bug, or caterpillar (sorry VG!) or grasshopper maybe. Or yes, as you say, a cricket!

In any case, it’s brought me here now and I‘m glad it did. I’ll track back I and checkout the lineup and drop by when I can to watch the rest of the grow.

Sorry about the current Lupus flare - no friggin fun. It’s so crappy when a garden thing needs extra attention during one of those times I feel for you! Sending flare-reducing vibes

Nothing to sweat yet.
I would use DE,neem etc. Hopefully you will kill one and we can figure out what it is.
Hoping its not a mole cricket. They burrow and are hard to catch because of their subterranean lifestyle.
Seems like something with mandibles to me.

Yikes! I really hope it’s not the mole cricket! I’ll hit them with Neem and I’ll have get some DE tomorrow. I haven’t seen any issues that looks like the roots are in trouble although this did just start so I can’t really count on that yet.

Thank you for the link, it’s now bookmarked! It looks a lot like the snail/slug damage. I haven’t seen any snails or slugs tho. I have a separate pair of flip flops that I use only to go into the room, but again my hubby thinks I’m nuts and walks in wearing whatever when he’s looking for me. I clean the floor a couple times a week and or when it’s visibly dirty. Wash my hands etc.. I’m about to be going on a hunt for sure! Thanks again!

had similar damage that was genetic. growth happened in fast spurts and parts of the leaves could not keep up, and developed holes. started with wierd bumps on the leaves like you have here ..

it was not pest damage. just could not keep up with the weird growth.

Thank you that’s good to know! I have scoured the room and the plants for any signs of anything and have found nothing but those few affected leaves I posted. I did go ahead with the Neem treatment and will do the DE after my appt today just so I can cover some bases and be absolutely sure.

I showered facing my drain until about 10 years ago and still squash on my shoes and slippers before putting them on. Another reason I love my flip flops! spider itself is probably not a bad thing. i'd be wondering what else is there to attract her tho. they don't hang around unless they can make a living.

always had stuff on the big soil grows. whenever i had spiders i used to leave them til i figgered if something i didn't want was also crawling around in there.

Thank you and that’s exactly why I left the creeper there. I’ll be a bit nervous when messing with the girls now in fear of it but if it’s feeding on anything I’d rather be freaked out and let it do it’s job. I’m better than I use to be with spiders but they still put a sting of what if it gets me while I’m sleeping My man laughs at me and ah what the hell I can laugh at myself when I’m being rediculous. Thankfully I haven’t seen anymore damage to any of the ladies but ya never know!
