Canadian Growers Group & Friends

Hi folks I found this recipe by Chef Anna on how to make your own Cal-Mag to feed your pot plants, Not sure if anyone has posted it before, So I thought I would help out my fellow Canadian's and post this homemade version of Cal-Mag here!... Cheers! :) ...I also posted it on the DIY thread...lol... sharing the love!

Ingredients

6 large eggs
Epsom salt
Distilled water

1. Crack all of your eggs and rinse out the shells. Leave the washed shells out to dry overnight.

2. The next day, take a rolling pin and crush your dried eggshells into small pieces.

3. Weigh your crushed eggshells with a kitchen scale. This recipe calls for 30 grams of dried egg shells. Discard any extras.

4. Measure out 15g of epsom salts.

5. Take your large stock pot, add 1 gallon of water, 30g of dried eggshells and 15g of Epsom Salts. Place on your stovetop and turn your burner to high. Bring this mixture up to a boil and keep it boiling for about 5 minutes.

6. After a few minutes, turn off your burner and cover your pot with the lid. Let this sit for at least 24 hours. The eggshells and epsom salts will release their nutrients into the water during this time.

7. Strain any eggshells or debris out of the mixture.

8. Water your plant with 2 cups of this mixture to give your plant a boost of calcium, magnesium and sulfur. This recipe makes 1 gallon of cal-mag booster, which is enough for 8 treatments. Store the remaining to use later.

I always said.... Canadian growers don't grow pot plants, they grow pot tree's! haha... love all the crop photo's today folks, keep them coming, cause of you fine people, I'm now debating Dwc in tent or outside in felt bags next summer. I want big bushy tall ladies like you guys,.... aww k that didn't come out right?.. but you know what I mean! lol :)

Will the purple kush finish properly?

They're starting their third week of flower, they'll need at least 8 weeks. Preferably 10, we'll see how the fall treats us.
Haven't had many issues in previous years. But growing outdoors there's always a chance it'll go bad fast. That's the risk I take to get outdoor yields.

These do not resemble the giant tree pics at all...
Strain says they have 8 weeks of flower, the 4 showed pistils yesterday...fingers crossed

We love them all no matter how they look.:green_heart:

my outdoor plants are such a delight,, we shall see what the neighbours think about how delightful they are in a few weeks,, ha

so loving the okanagan sunshine,, like everything else in existence round here

just barely beginning to flower,, hurry the heck up y'all,, sixty days frost free is my wish upon a shooting star

cheers friends

Another thing to remember guys, outdoor girls tend to finish faster than the # of weeks listed by the breeder. Those numbers generally refer to indoor under 12/12. Most outdoor plants, short of pure Sativas, will be finished between late September and mid October in the northern hemisphere:)

gosh i want that to be true,, but sure is not in my experience, not round here,, fingers crossed tho,, and by that i mean finishing late sept,, i am always into october, and well into it,, tho i never get that far cuz frost shows itsself too soon,, but, we shall see this year,,

i really do not have much experience with photos outside,, i usually try autos outside but not this year,,
