Canadian Growers Group & Friends

Wow! what a great thread! I'm a BC outdoor organic grower although I sometimes bring plants inside in October to finish off in front of a south-facing window. Kind of the reverse of starting seeds indoors; does anyone else do this? I'm in my 60s and have been growing weed since I was thirteen. I've lived in Africa for a couple of years and fell in love with African sativas which I now grow in BC. I like outdoor organic old school sativas because of their clean cerebral highs that I don't experience with hybrids anymore. Maybe it's just me but I remember the weed was different in the old days. Yeah it may have not been as strong but it could still kick your ass psychedelically. Here is a picture of my Mango Karot from Reunion Island (French Touch Seeds) I grew outdoors this year. I will harvest it tomorrow.

Some beauty colas on display there, Zembretti! I hope to try one outdoors next season, what size pot do you have her in?

That's in a 20-litre pot which is probably not big enough, but I have to consider how big they can get too. I don't want them so big that they are easily seen over the fence. Gotta comply with Johnny Law to keep everyone happy. One Durban poison X Big Freeze from Hemp depot I grew in my garden was 9 feet tall and I got almost a pound from her. Luckily my garden is a bit protected from view so it wasn't a problem. Here's a pick of some of the colas: (apologies for the poor quality camera pics.)

Hi I'm hashfart , where do you guys purchase seeds in Canada?
True North Seed Bank, a sponsor here. I usually end up with their in house, knock off breeder, Canuk Seeds which I have been happy with

I purchased seeds from Ace Seeds originally through True North Seed company, but now I go directly through ACE in Spain, I picked up many landrace sativas while visiting Spain last year. ACE has lots of pure sativa seeds, lots of African genetics. Also if you want landrace, heirloom seeds The Real Seed Company specializes in those. Hemp Depot in Canada has many seed banks as well, (if you want cheap reasonably good quality seeds Beanhoader at Hemp Depot has seeds for about $4 each.) The majority of the seeds I grow are from those three places, but now I breed my own as well, so much cheaper and fun.

Morning Hashfart, I have bought seed from TNSB and one other Canadian seed bank, but most of my seed has come from overseas.
Lol!... Be honest guys!... We Canadian's like to make our own seeds! ;)... Some of us may even have an addiction to them ... but who's counting right haha ;)

I grew a pounder with their ‘ king tut ‘ strain and tried their ‘blue dream’ also a heavy yield .
Most local shops carry this brand , I have no reservations spending my money on their beans :)
