Canadian Growers Group & Friends

You'll be watering more often with fabric bags. I use 4gal plastic pots and usually go 4 days between waterings. Pretty much 1L per gal of mix. I never water enough to get runoff but just to saturation.

:peace:
I'm doing same as you, i've gone back to my 5gal or 3gal plastic pots from my 5g fabric pots indoors. outdoors i have 35gal fabric pots i want to try next summer, i have 5 so might need to build pool too for hole i'll leave filling them.

Whoa Boyeeee!!! I waited as long as I could but last nite I ground up enough to fill my vape pen - even at it's early stage - Oh My!!!! It was fun!!! :thumb: I can hardly wait to give L'il Cookie and Stevie Nicks a puff!!!
that's the best feeling knowing your weed is kick ass :ganjamon: after all that work and waiting.

@Konks Dirt Empire
I just had to cut off a good main cola from bud rot from one of my blue dreams.
Damn. Live and learn
I shouldnt have had them out lastnight, when I woke up there was an intense amount of fog.
But I dont think the rot happened over night, but lastnight did not help.
Il be taking my blue dreams this weekend, dont want to lose them.
Will keep watching the last 3. Big storm coming tonight.

Whoa - those are unhappy gals - good luck with all that!! :thumb:

That's just one gal and you're right that she's not too happy but tough shit for her. :D

She was supposed to be an auto fem but grew as a regular fem so didn't start flowering until mid August. I have a growing clone from her inside so will get some cuttings ASAP and see how she does grown indoors. All CBD with less than 1% THC and I found a Canadian lab that will do a potency test for only $60 so will be sending off a sample soon to see for sure what and how much medicine she puts out. I think she could have gone another two or three weeks to fatten up the colas but mother nature didn't cooperate tho I was thankful for the warmer than usual fall that got her as far as it did.

I'm already taking daily doses of cocobudder I made from her and it sure helps with the arthritis and depression and having so little THC I can take it during the day without getting messed up. I'm just doing a quick, (but still time-consuming), trim and breaking the buds down to smaller sizes then sealing it up in tobacco cans and freezing for later use. Lots of frosty sugar trim too.

I managed to trim for 5 hours last night before my hands started cramping up so will have another go at it tonight. Supposed to get to -14 with a daytime high of -11 tomorrow but warming up Sunday to +3 daytime. The heater is keeping it 35 - 50F in there so she doesn't freeze tho she got a good hit of freezing when my wife plugged her chicken watering warmers into the same plug and blew the breaker. Just enough to ice up the leaves so they look like shit. It's all good.

Alright, I am punching out lol

move arse & my ramblings to my journal

Have a great weekend, eh!

My Southern Ontario grow season came to an end today myself. With word of T-Storms and possible Tornados coming in. I had to take down my final plants but they were ready. So I took down my Durban Poison and got 1341g, Glookies Reveg was 363g, and a late Hail Mary of a clone of LSD which grew tall, frosty but not much branching. Put out near the end of July and got 129g. Found 11 seeds in my Durban and will maybe try growing someday. Will dry most of my Durban tonight once the storms pass in my freeze dryer. So I think from these and the other plants taken down before today, will net me probably close to 5lbs of dried bud, and over a pound from my tent plants too. So here are picks of some freeze dried buds and stuff I took down today

I will have to check that out thanks! :)
My favourite medium to grow in is 100% worm castings mixed 50/50 with perlite. Try it out I promise you you’re plants will love it!!

the stuff I used was called pamper your plants but long as it’s % worm castings it should work

She was supposed to be an auto fem but grew as a regular fem so didn't start flowering until mid August.
Yup, in 2019 i had an Auto seed that grew as a photo, wondered if seeds got mixed up in packaging.

Ive noticed in my growing area that flowering starts around 01-15 August, strain dependant and maybe a bit on how the suumer went. In 2019 I experimented with a Blackout tunnel. Simple black poly plastic sheet, pulled over hoops made of ABS conduit. I started 01 August and continued till harvest. It was a noticeably good harvest, but I'm wondering if I should have timed it differently.

Maybe the blackout tunnel should start 2-4 weeks earlier, like 01-15 July, and only continue till mid-August, when the natural nighttime hours will continue to support ongoing flowering. And so here's the question to consider: If we can kick start flowering 2 or 3 weeks earlier, we'll have earier harvests on outdoor gardens, with less time pressures of weather and mold, and maybe get that Amber in the trichomes as we like it.

Curious if you still feed nutrients using straight worm castings and perlite? That would be a rather hot mix, yes?
No sir. I’ve grown with it on a couple different occasions. The plants just marched on like a trained army. I fed nutrients along with every watering they had. They loved it!!

I forget the brand of nutes I used with it, and I also threw in the odd cal mag extra into the odd feeding. They loved it, and I loved using it. plants turned out like this.

cheers friends,, get to work

Temps are falling here but no snow yet! Single digit highs forecast for this week after some abnormally warm days... Wife and I put most of our firewood in yesterday in 15 degree weather..
My tent girls are enjoying themselves it seems. I've brought in some ever-bearing strawberries growing in Stewpwell organic soil, just runner cuttings pilfered from the outdoor garden. So I have my 400w hps moved up beside the open tent and kind of angled to shine in the tent during the lights on period, so the berries and cannabis are spending some time together under both lights. Everybody seems happy with this arrangement.. Buds are stacking up nicely and getting more sticky by the day. I think this is day 36 of 12/12. Bumped them up to 5.2g MC /4L. That will likely be their max.

Cheese right, Gorilla Zkittles left

Theyre coming down today, I left them both outside for the frost lastnight to see if I could pull any last colours out for them, the 2 gelatos and my gorilla glue were tucked away in the shed, still are. Very cool and overcast today.
The dreams are looking nice, buds not as big as Id like, but I dont want to push the envelope on them anymore. Will take a couple pictures shortly.
Hope everyone is enjoying the rest of the weekend!

Tick tock, brother! ;)

Has anyone here tried DYNOMYCO C yet ? We are registered in Canada and have seen some amazing results with growers from all across the country ! We boast a high concentration of 2500 propagules/gram of a specific strain of endomycorrhizal fungi that has been scientifically proven to form a symbiotic relationship with cannabis roots.

Ultimately improving yields, size, root development, nutrient uptake and overall health of plants dramatically. Feel free to reach out and Happy Growing :peace:
