Depends where you are. Here in Southern Ontario we have a bit of a longer growing season than most of the country. I could start a plant outdoors in late May, and grow her to maturity. I actually have a volunteer from last year's outdoor plant in my garden. Seed fell off, got buried by the freeze/thaw cycles and popped up. I'll be taking a new pic later today as she's shifting to flower, but I put an older one in below. She's not as tall as she would get if I started her indoors, but she's closing in on 6 feet. I think she survived because her mother was an indica heirloom/landrace strain (if you believe the breeder, she did match some descriptions of Indian landraces).

Did you have a male planted close to this mother last year?
Neat you lucked out with a fem, or is it showing signs of sex yet?

I wish Marijuana was a perennial plant outside here in our Canadian climate,... Well ok I guess some may achieve that by growing indoors in a tent or room and keeping a mother plant alive.... Although it would be nice to just walk around and find Marijuana growing everywhere year after year.... Lol I mean in the wild not peoples gardens :)

Anyone growing high CBD strains here? Would love to know what ones.

I have a Harlequin 1:18 (HarlequinxOG Kush CBD ) and a non specific 1:20 from i49 seeds outside right now. They call it 'CBD i49 High' but is a cross of AC/DC Clone X Columbian X Thai X Swiss X Nepalese Landrace X (Some sour diesel). Hell of a family tree. LOL

Proof will be in a lab test after flower. I have to see if these claims are close to true.

The CBD i49 High is also the one I have cloned and flipped to male using colloidal silver so I can pollinate the CBD i49 High mother to get more seeds. I cringed at having to pay $10/seed. :\ This way, I'll have a ton to play with. Link to that experiment in my signature.
I grew the i49 strain last year. The oil I have made is very good we find. I use it daily and supply a few other people also. We pulled just over a pound of super sticky buds, but found she didn’t care for the heat much.
Looking forward to watching yours progress!!
When I tried to get seeds there in spring the website was gone. Their green crack is amazing and I was hoping to get more and a couple of the CBD strains. You must have been clever and bought early.

My neighbour had a male. He didn't know the difference. He thought he could smoke the male flowers. His son and I convinced him otherwise.
She's been showing pre-flowers for more than a month now, and started shifting to flower a couple weeks ago. She's done the stretch, and she's got pistils at the bud sites.

My outdoor grow last year had plenty of time to finish...but I couldn’t do a strain that had a super long finishing time either. I’m expecting similar results this season
Those were last year :D This years girls were just over 11 feet going into flower and have a 7-9 week finishing time.

You're the first I have come across that planted i49 seeds. The website is still there. It is a .net site and has a few green crack varieties. It is on my list to try eventually. :) I'll try to remember to post picts after harvest in October.

I am very curious to see how the bud test in a lab compared to their ratio claim.

When I went looking in the spring to order, the site had been seized by the Edmonton Police! I had to make some quick changes in my plans lol.
just went to have a peek and my tails a waggin lol:yahoo: need to fly over to the seed stashers anonymous thread to let them know I’ve fallen off the wagon...again....hard.

Oh shit, really? I had no idea. That would have been a shock to anyone visiting. Glad it's back online then!! I bought back in October of last year.

Pesky neighbours! At least that one is pro cannabis I guess.
