@bcarpenter24 , someone here was using citric acid to combat mildew with good results but a forget who, maybe @InTheShed or @MrSauga , but I am sure one of them remembers who it was :)
Sorry I missed this Celt! Am I allowed to reply as a US citizen?

The citric acid spray is a 1% concentration, so 500ml (which is 500g) of distilled water gets 5g of food grade citric acid and 4 pipette drops of dish washing liquid. Scale up or down as needed, but I find that my full grown plants take almost 1500ml (and 15g and 12 drops) to spray every nook and cranny where the PM hides.

Shed, will this adversely affect the buds,? I mean obviously not saturate them.

I have been saturating the buds when I spray them, since my PM has been getting to the sugar leaves, and haven't seen any damage, as long as they dry before I drag them back into the sun. I'd say I spray about once every week and a half, maybe two. I'm even wondering if this is keeping the botrytis at bay this summer...
We are all 420 citizens here I believe @InTheShed
Thanks Celt! I guess I can qualify as "friend" then according the the title of the thread. :)

Man in not sure about this ff ocean forest. In the past I've used promix sterile and added my own nutes. Two days ago cal deficiency started now I got another thing happening looks like a pH issue. My tap water pH is always close to 6.5 so I just leave it (I'm on a well). Maybe I'm wrong about the pH thing idk.
If any one is using this soil, what nutes do you use if any.
Thanks

To my understanding, when growing with promix hp mychrohazian (or what ever it’s called). It is a buffered medium and have no need to adjust ph because the medium is buffered to the right PH. I could be wrong here though... hope someone else can chime in and clear that up!!

Hey @Foster420, how old is the Promix you are using, and what are you using for nutes?

@InTheShed (if memory serves) ran into issues with pH rise in outdated ProMix and the form of nitrogen in the Mega Crop he was using. There was also another member with those issues and used Jobe’s Tree Spikes to correct the issue.

Ii am the tree spike guy:ciao: that's true for promix it will buffer the water for you. You can run in to issues if it old. The lime that buffers the medium can start to get week and the pH rise over time.

I haven't used ffof but I do believe it is buffered. What stage of growth are you at are you adding any other nutes and how hard is your well water and pics of the whole plant might help.

The seedling is very sensative. Just the fox farm soil and I got a few burnt tips, either that or it don't like LEDs.
I just feed it with and all the others with fox farm super sonic plant tonic that has a good amount of calcium along with everything else.
So fingers crossed
ph problem causing lock out?? all other plants are fine but this one , just a guess.

I've been seeting the pH to 6.5 and only feed the ph'd water for the first cpl weeks. These 4 plants have gone through a bunch of training, mostly topping and lst. 3 where clones and one seedling. I was feeding super sonic plant tonic and I don't think it's a good pairing for the ff soil. They recommend the grow big for the ocean forest soil so I'm gonna grab some after work and see. Thanks

So I was just reading the ocean forest soil is pH balanced to 6.5ish and if I was to use pH down in my water, is that going to have a negative effect?

Not sure mate, until this year, I had never grown in anything but LOS, but Shed should be along before too long and he is my goto for questions of that sort, he has more experience and done more research into it than I have :) My research and experience has always revolves around organics, microbial life and their interactions.
