Canadian Growers Group & Friends

Hi folks, ... Since the weather is beginning to turn cooler for some already and will for the rest of us soon enough, How many of you are going to continue growing inside over winter in Canada?... If so whats your growing method going to be? ... dwc system, soil ,coco, perlite? Led's, hps closet, bedroom, bathroom basement, etc?... Mines dwc and hydroton with rapid rooters... under Led's lights in a tent in the basement :)

Given our lovely canadian climate I made the transition to indoors this year. I might do a few outdoors next year for butter but I do love having more control over variables
Welcome to the group ZoomZ06! :)

Hey Mate, I will definitely be grown indoors again but not likely until December. Have some reworking to do to my grow space to make it more convenient as well as build to new toys for the grow. Hoping to try doing Mega Crop as a DWC setup to see how it performs as well as a second DWC type setup but using my own concoction

All in the name of science

I've got a Seedsman Cheese and Barney's Farm Gorilla Zkittles in coco / megacrop on the go too. Just transplanted into 3 gallon fabric pots Yesterday. I've been putting them out during the day and in the tent under the quantum boards in the evenings for a few hours. Eventually they will be in the tent full time.

I hope to do one outside in our greenhouse next year, it will have to be trained height wise though, there is only around 8’ from the ground to the top peak. Nights have been chilly though, thermometer is recording lows of 4 regularly overnights. Maybe I’ll try an auto out there first next year.

Everybody’s plants are looking great!!

4x4 grow tent, 2 450W LED in a spare room. I use promix hp with mycorrhizae and Remo supercharged nutrients

I will be switching from promix to RDWC under LED in the basement probably going to go with Chem 91 from Cal Connection. Hoping to have it up and running by the end of the month.
Chem 91 that is a nice strain, Now I know you suffer from the same addiction as I do? you gonna make seeds of that strain? lol

This is my first grow using it. It has next no nutrients so I had to start my Cali mag a little earlier than I’m used to but other than that no complaints so far. Very light fluffy soil. Good drainage and water retention. It is 65-75% canadian sphagnum peat moss, perlite, dolomitic and calcitic limestone(ph adjuster), wetting agent and mycorrhizae. Listed ingredients according to the bag. I’ve been debating starting a journal for my current grow, I got 2 super silver haze 1 week in veg

Very nice strain. silver haze... I think I have been using a similar blend with my own homemade version i listed above in the thread on my outdoor grow minus some ingredients... Hmmm Think I may squeese a promix grow in the basement now too! :) lol

I have used promix HP for several years with good results. Just this current grow I have had issue. You want to use it within a year of the manufacturer's date on the side of the bag for best results.

What issue have you been having this grow?

LOL... Just noticed the hot pepper plants behind the pot plant they are blooming nicely... What kind? :)

The pH of promix can rise overtime if using a fertilizer with high nitrate nitrogen Causing deficiencies. Using old promix can make it more prevalent because the lime is getting. Weak and not buffering properly. Also the wetting agent is losing its effectiveness. Now that being said I have had some awesome grows with the exact same setup and nutrients. Even this one where I was having issues I got some help from intheshed who was having the same issues. He has been in contact with a tech at premier the makers of promix. His advice was to use a fertilizer with Ammoniacal nitrogen we both did that using different fertilizers. After two feedings the pH in the promix had dropped back into range. Check out my or intheshed's journal for details.
