Good news everyone! Girl Scout Cookies sprouted.. kind of... She came up ass backwards with her taproot pointing up. I dug her out of the dirt carefully as to not touch or disturb the taproot and reoriented her in an upright position. Hopefully she can actually sprout now.

She was about a half inch down. I always use a pen as a guide to make sure everything is always the same. I may have disturbed the seed at some point when I was getting impatient... lol.

Its chopped up into bitty little pieces. It was leftover from last night's supper. I try to not waste in my kitchen, leftovers are always repurposed if not eaten for lunch. The kids eat everything the adults eat. I tone down the heat, but I use many spices. If they don't like it they don't have to eat. If I make something really different/new I'll make a backup kid friendly dish as well but I want them to experience lots of different foods.

I just love this!! Thanks for sharing. This is how I was raised in the 60’s and 70’s and it’s a way of life. I’m horrified when a guest at someone’s home and they waste.... so much food, and everything really. To this day I’m not a huge meat fan but mom never made anything “special” — sorta like life, not everything is geared to you. Good lesson, and opens minds to new foods.

I’m horrified when a guest at someone’s home and they waste.... so much food, and everything really. My kids are not going to be forced to eat everything we do, they are only 3 and 4. But these life lessons need to start early because dad isn't going to be around forever.

Hey guys! Today Jillybean got moved up to a solo cup. I also took more cuttings from Tangerine Dream as the previous attempt failed. The Blue Gelato clones seem to be doing good so she might get flipped soon. I was hoping to flip both big girls at the same time to make it easier to keep track of the days.

Hey guys! Today I got the flower tent cleaned out and ready for growing. I took 2 more cuttings from Tangerine Dream, and both her and Blue Gelato got flipped to the flower tent. I finally got the leaves off the dirt .
