Day 97
Day 38 of flower. Today LSD #3 got 4 liters of plain water, and LSD #1 got 4 liters of nutrified water. She is the most thirsty of the bunch. The Sativa is strong in this one, very tall and lanky... she better fatten up... LSD 2 and 3 are more Indica and their buds are also the fattest. Pretty soon I'll be able to take a pic with a small pop bottle. .
Ok, so I had a wtf moment during tonight's photo shoot, Diesel #2 looks kind of like she has a seed amongst those massive calyxs... I looked around and I don't see any male parts in the tent sooo... I don't know. I hope they are not engorged because they all contain seeds... that would really suck! Just the upper growth has these flowers, lower down she's completely normal.
The flowers are starting to get pretty well developed now, and I have been slowly picking off leaves, but a big defol is coming soon. They should have enough green matter to keep the flowers building without most of the fan leaves now, and that extra bit of light will really help with the buds lower down.

It would seem like that.. kind of weird.. seeds usually stay in the calyx... I was trying to pick it off but I may just leave it for now...

I know I'm late to the grow but Canada Guy I dig your grow! The last pic looks like seed development, but it's not all bad, you would get a few diesel mix seeds!

Hey quiyettoker! Welcome! Your just in time for the best part of the grow, the weeks leading up to harvest. Thank you for your kind words. Thanks also for confirming my thoughts. The only problem is the girl with the seed is the worst looking of the bunch as far as yield is concerned. Also the slowest growing, so I doubt I would grow out her seeds.

Day 39 of flower. Today LSD #2 got 4 liters of nutrified water. Diesels 2 and 4 got 4 liters of plain water. I started to do some major defol today. Just a little bit, small handful from each plant. I always go slow because I can take more off later but I can't re-attach leaves. At this time I want to maintain their solar panels to the point where I can just barely see the dirt. The only one I didn't get to was LSD #1. After playing with the girls for a couple hours, my hands will smell amazing all night. Usually I can wash most of it off, not this time, I scrub and scrub and the aroma lingers! Do you guys experience the same thing? Where even the walls of the tent are covered in a sticky film? Where the buds stick to your hands and arms and anything they touch and you rip off pistils inadvertently just by touching them?

LOL! I noticed that also a couple days ago when I did a clean up, had a short sleeve shirt on and when I was done all my arm hair was matted to my skin from reaching down through the scrog net!
Yep. I don't like smashing the trichomes. After day 30 in flower, I pretty much open the doorway, look at them, stretch my arms out to pour water or nutrified water on their soil, and close the doorway back up.
The one exception is when I do foliar spraying. When doing a foliar, one needs to do a certain amount of shifting and moving of at least some of the girls. My arms get sticky on foliar day, even with only a few girls in flower

Absolutely, I have to crawl around in the jungle at times to clean up and when the wife does laundry she always complains that my clothes still smell even after washing them. I wash my hands with veg oil to get them clean, works great. I always wear gloves when trimming and I swear the smell alone gets me high.

Yup, I use whatever cooking oil is available, usually it works great. Been doing it for years, the sticky thc binds to the oil then gets washed away with a little soap.

How would you describe the smell CG? My LA Confidential smells like must and cat piss. My 24K Gold smells like creamsicles!

Well it mostly smells like high quality bud lol. Very strong, and pleasant. No citrus or weird stuff.

Day 40 of flower. Holy cow, I can't believe it's already been 14 weeks since these girls were just a handful of seeds and a dream. Soon I will harvest my medicine and stop relying on my LP and my favourite dispensary. I may still use them for some variety. My next grow might be some autos, maybe a Dwarf variety. Feminized for sure. Still trying to find some Jilly Bean. I sent in my renewal forms to Health Canada, hopefully 5 months will be enough time to get it done. Also my limits will increase, so we should be able to try a bunch of things. I have considered getting some LED lighting to compliment the HPS/MH. Also we are still looking for a house in the country so a move might affect our daily updates. Anyone move with their ACMPR? It takes about 6 months to receive updated documents once they are submitted, and that's a while to not be growing. I wonder if you can just keep growing while you wait for the papers to come? And there is still the issue of transporting a 6 foot tall cannabis tree...

Day 41 of flower. The girls are doing very well still. LSD #1 got 4.5 liters of plain water. Just watching them fatten up now. The hero of this grow is turning out to be LSD #2, shes got the biggest fattest flowers so far. The zero is Diesel #2, lol. I will post a more in depth update this weekend. I will also be trimming a lot of lower growth, no sense wasting energy on those flowers. The ones that are not getting the reveg treatment. My monster crop attempt seems like it is not going so well... what do you guys think? Should I call it a failure and just try again? I love how aromatic the tent is, if it wasn't for the filter the whole neighborhood would be getting medicated off the smell alone. Outside the tree has a 3 foot funk radius.
