Too much stretching a problem? You gotta get you some dwarf seeds, bro! The one in the pot on my deck stretched from 3" tall to 10" in five days and that was about it. She's all about the flowers now (both real and camouflage for the neighbors)

Day 80
Day 21 of flower. Well we are a third of the way through flower. The girls are still doing well although they are showing signs of heat stress. I repositioned the ducting to push air across the light in hopes of bringing temps down a bit. The heat wave should be breaking soon. Hopefully they won't be dead by then. Still pulling handfuls of leaves from the bottom. At this rate I won't need to defoliate anything.

I am curious...since you grow cbd and non-cbd types, do you notice any difference in bud formation-like when trichomes appear or ripen, or how dense they are?

They are quite different. The LSD is high THC and my Diesel is more 1:1 THC/CBD. This is not why they are different though. It is simply because they are physically different plants, not based on them producing higher CBD or THC. This is my personal experience, maybe others experience different things.

Day 81
Day 22 of flower. Today everyone got 4 liters of plain water. They are consuming about 4 liters every 3 days. Flowers are shaping up quite nicely so far. Still removing dead lower growth. LSD #1 is still growing, she is over 32 inches now! That is over 4 times her pre flower height! I moved the light up one last time. We are now pretty much at max height on the light. I CAN move it up more but it would be a pain...

CG, did you get all of your ladies trim and tidy down below? Wondering if this is the happy medium you mentioned you were going for, based on taking too much or too little on previous runs. I'd have defoliated on the weekend if I wasn't away, so I think I will at lights on tonight.
Did you have tops growing from down that low that you took as well, or had you been keeping those cleaned up in veg?
I'm aiming to get cleaned up and get rid of popcorn, but even with all the tips I've gotten I still feel like I'm going to need some trial and error to find the sweet spot.

In veg there was no lower growth as their height was only 8 inches. In flower I am removing the dead leaves from below, and live ones from above that are blocking light to flowers. I am not going to go crazy on defol just yet, but I may do one last trim after the buds are really developing. As far as the lower growth, the small branches are staying, those popcorn buds and attached leaf systems will be the starting point of my re veg. Otherwise they would be removed to give the energy to the top flowers only. Hope this helps. Your girls are looking great, your obviously doing something right . .

Flower day 23. We may be nearing the end of the stretch. Yay! The girls are still doing very well, night time temps are around 23 and day time is around 28. Humidity is around a constant 50%. I hate taking top fan leaves but we are growing flowers not leaves. When you take an upper fan leaf, you want them to look like the one I took. Nice lush green, no tears or holes, no burnt tips, at least 7 fingers, nice even growth, fresh aroma, etc, these are signs of a very happy plant. When growing I have never been a good fix it guy, I am however good at preventing problems. This comes with experience and many failed attempts.

Do you re veg and then cut clones or carry them through to flower?

I will re veg for the first time ever after I harvest this grow. Then I plan to cut clones and I will see how that works, and then let them flower for a second time. This is the plan anyway, I have 0 experience with re veg.

Flower day 24. The ladies are still doing well, shedding lower leaves and building flowers. So apparently they are still stretching... LSD #1 is almost 36 inches tall now! Another 4 inches and she will have stretched 5 times her pre flower height! I can't even say it's due to poor light as all three LSD girls are equal distance from the light. Today LSD #2 got 4 liters of nutrified water, she is drinking much more than the other. Not sure why but her flowers also seem more developed than the others too. Diesel #2 has caught up to diesel #4 in height. Most likely due to being placed directly under the light, but without a scientific proof it is merely speculation. Oh and still no pests for now, yay! I was actually very worried being that the grow is outside in the garage. There are holes big enough for small animals to get in let alone bugs... lol.

Flower day 25. The ladies are still doing fantastic. LSD #1 got 4 liters of nutrified water today. To clarify, per every 4 liter jug I add 10 ml of Duel Fuel 1, 10 ml of Duel Fuel 2, 10 ml of Terpinator, 4 ml of W-8, and 20 ml of Massive. LSD #1 is now over 3 feet tall! I am hoping for some nice fat colas from her. My organic outdoor Diesel is doing great, she loves eating compost, and she has massive fan leaves! Funny how indoors my Diesel is quite short, but outside she grows tall. The hope is that she's a she, as they are all regular seeds.
