Camo's 1st Grow - Coco - LED - Lucas Autos - Poll Of Strain To Grow

I know I'm all ears for this....lol. I'm with you on the 'typo', OG.

Haha mcdive and older ! I agree with you two fellas. I think it was just a typo from clark. If he pops back in hopefully he can let us know what he meant.

Blaze my dude you are in luck! Girls are 14 days old today and I will be doing an update and start training tonight!

Brad! What's good man, well I can't agree with you or baxter cause some day I would like to try my hand at some hydro. But who knows, if I get a good harvest from the growing in coco I'll probably stay with coco. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Ok up first is little miss northern lights. I fed her & fed her, well she is in hempy so I assume her res got toooo hot for her and I nute burned her tips if you can see in the pictures. So I flushed with about 7 gallons of water and made sure the res was empty by turning bucket on its side. Hopefully she will catch up with the rest of her sisters.

next is a little lady I'm excited to see grow, DARK DEVIL!! just in the last 2 days she has grown about an inch a day. I think she will be the PURPLE pheno, at least I'm hoping!

Last but for sure not least is the biggest of the gals, white widow!! She is just been the ideal grow and is a nice dark green color with tons of growth.

Here is a side photo of white widow to show how tight her nodes are ;) :)

Here is just a shot from having some close close friends over the other night. No clue what it is, but it gets the job ;)

I'm up to feeding between 9.0-1.1ec for WW & DD. NL took off a little late so she is getting around 0.5-0.8ec right now. Still just feeding armor si, calmag, floranova bloom, with recharge every couple of days. NL is doing rough with the bye burn and then the flushing but I think she will recover. Also dark devil it's soo soo low to the coco, like her first set of fans are pretty much sitting on the surface of the coco. So hopefully she hits another growth spurt soon. White widow has had no problems what so ever. I am thinking on starting ponytailing today and then lst after that to get an empty canopy. Any questions ask away! Or some knowledge for my grow and me!

I would think that EC would be high for the little ladies. Maybe in flowering you might reach those levels. In a soil-less mix I'm around 350 ppm on a .5 scale which would be around .7 EC for plants a week older than yours. Giving them that much every feeding which is about every 3 days right now. My goal is to feed them just enough to keep them nice and green. If they yellow a bit, then I up it. Don't get greedy. I learned the hard way with my 1st grow. Feeding high levels won't make them grow any faster. They'll only take up what the need, leaving the rest in your soil. Light is the real plant "food", the stuff in the bottles are like multivitamins. If it were a human, you couldn't survive if all you ate is Flintstone Chewables, in fact you'd probably get sick if you ate too many, (ie. nutes). You survive and thrive by eating steak and potatoes (ie light). You have nice lights. Let them do the heavy lifting and feed just enough to keep them a nice even green from top to bottom.

News flash, Camo, you're already growing with hydroponics. :thumb: Congratulations! Lol

Yeah I thought it was a little high myself fsrside. But that's the recommended feeding for girls at this age. But if I start seeing some nute burn tips then I'll back off on the girls. The only one that has shown nute burn is northern lights, and I believe that was just cause of the hot res. Thank you for the compliment of my lights ;)

Mcdive :) :) ;) I just always thought coco was in between soil and hydro! I just hope to get the results of hydro and benefits of soil in coco coir ! Thank you for the news update my friend :)

I've got 3 strains going right now and 1 strain wants less than the others. All mine are in the same medium (Promix), in the same room, with the same lights. Only difference is the strain. Goes to show there is no generic feeding schedule that can accommodate all plants. That part is the "learning" that comes with growing, learning how to read your plants and adjust accordingly.

Oh yeah I totally agree with you farside. I have had to dampen the feed for dark devil because she is a little more picky than her sister white widow. But Northernlights was just top young to take the nutes in general is where I messed up. And let the res in the hempy get too damn hot. But that can lead to be an headache mixing different solutions for different plants !

I use a dwc 5 gal bucket and 6" lid bucket basket that I fill with rock medium around my 2" cube. For the pro mix soil grows I do outside I fill the 5gal bucket with soil 3/4 full and drill 3/64 drain holes around bottom of bucket from 1/4" to 2" up. Gapping about 4" apart and alternating each row. the test I am wanting to do is have 1 dwc and 1 soil of the same strain with same lighting in my room

AAAAAAAAHHhhhhhhhhhh....:trance:.... That makes so much more sense in my head... my noodles were twisted in knots, man!! Thanks for the olive oil. I love experimenting!

Ta-da!! Perfect sense now.:thumb:

Thanks.for clearing that up!

Yep, that's where I am now. Got 3 older plants and another 9 days younger, and one of the older plants is on a diet, and the other 2 are bellied up to the buffet. Hopefully in another week or two things will balance out and they'll all be eating the same thing. Until then I feel like a short order cook.

Your plants are looking good, apart from a little nute burn, but that is not the end of the world. How far is your light from this girls? What are your temps in the tent? Looks like a bit of heat stress going on.

Good job bud!

Blaze I have my leds 18in from the plants tops. I was told that as ideal. I work it down from 36in to 18in from seedling. My temps do Flux up to around 86F, but atrain posted a video I like to go by in his basement grow journal about leds and warmer temperatures being ok. So hopefully I'm alright. I know northern lights is having it rough, but the other 2 girls are doing strong !

Farside ooo that is rough my friend. I am feeling your pain with little NL. She is about 3-4 days behind her sisters cause she was late breaking soil and just slow over all. I tell you northern lights isn't really living up to the standard of being an easy grown strain. Cause finnicky dark devil and WW are blowing her put of the park.
