C99 x Blueberry Fast: Pheno Hunting & Comparison Grow Featuring Alaskan Purple

Only one's I use are Neem oil or Pyrethrins during veg, and Spinosad or ISO/water during flower.
:thumb:

All of those work great!
I’ve tried hydrogen peroxide and water but it seemed to do more damage to my plants than good. I did 3 cups water and 1 cup hydrogen peroxide. I think I’m going to try milk this time... but I have a question. If I get rid of the WPM, is it going to come back no matter what? Cause if I’m fighting an uphill battle I’d rather scrap the crop and start over...

o_Oo_O what kind of hydrogen peroxide did you use :thedoubletake::thedoubletake::thedoubletake: not the 3% for cuts and scrapes I hope :hmmmm: you need food grade 29 - 35% H2O2....yeah that 3% H2O2 will bleach your hair a pretty platinum color :thedoubletake::thedoubletake::thedoubletake: ...whoo this is where I didn't have any help back in the day and had to ask some old farmers like it was my vegetables having WPM

If you’ve got WPM spores in your area, then it can always come back. That doesn’t keep people from growing, but it does mean being more vigilant and doing the preventive work.

And my “in your area”, that can mean much more than just your tent. If you live in an area of the country where it’s common outdoors, then it’s going to get indoors, pretty much no matter the precautions you take. The key is trying to make your tent as inhospitable a place for WPM to grow as possible.

You may have had issues with the peroxide since you mixed it pretty strong. I use neem, iso, and milk but my older friend uses peroxide at 1part to 9parts water.
Yep...even the 35% was :thedoubletake::thedoubletake::thedoubletake:
  • Milk (1:9 ratio of milk to water)
  • Baking soda (2 tablespoons per gallon of water)
  • Neem Oil (4 teaspoons per gallon of water)
  • Hydrogen Peroxide (1 teaspoon per gallon of 35% H202) :thedoubletake::thedoubletake::thedoubletake::thedoubletake::thedoubletake:
  • SM-90 (1:5 ratio of SM-90 to water)

Like my notes and @BigBearNTexas said....

  • White Powdery Mildew has a hard time settling in a grow room where the air is being moved. High humidity will give WPM the conditions it needs to survive, but poor airflow is what gives it the ability to settle down in the first place. In fact, a small (preferably oscillating) fan moving air in a grow area will prevent the vast majority of White Powdery Mildew woes.
So keep on top of it brother it will go away :thumb:

And oh yeah don't feel so bad @playerunknown I figured out why my second Cinder Berry wasn't popping o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O
I must have used an old solo cup to put my new beans and new soil in o_Oo_Oo_Oo_O I found fungus gnat larvae all over my bean sprout :thedoubletake::thedoubletake::thedoubletake::thedoubletake::thedoubletake: or what used to be my bean sprout :hmmmm::hmmmm: nothing no where else cuz the other 1 is fine...
Oh well live and learn I always say...cuz it's better to live and learn than die and rot...apparently like my beany baby did :rip:

Air flow is key in preventing mold and wpm. I have two 8 inch oscillating fans in my 4x4 tent. In addition to not allowing the spores a place to land and take hold, the increased airflow also helps keep plants from sweating on each other. Wpm likes to take hold during cool moist evenings.

So, I am now two for two with the AP's. If a weed strain could be confused, AP would be VERY confused! My first seed was kinda slow to pop at 3 days, but I had a few seeds from my current grow take longer. So not really a big deal. Heres where they started acting "confused." The first one to be dropped into soil after she popped sprouted out "sideways." Instead of coming straight up out of the soil, it went along horizontally just under the surface. When I uncovered to growth tip or whatever you'd call it, it then started coming up normally. It seemed to be confused. The second one to pop took five days. Not terrible, but definitely started to wonder if it was a dud. Anyway, instead of popping with a tap root the whole bulbous end of the seed with the cotyledon popped out. the tap was curling around in the seed husk. Very strange and confused little seeds. Now lets see if they can grow me some nice purple buds.

Well a fair bit of time later I have hammered the hell out of them with my pressure mister and some baking soda water, they’re not back in the tent with the exhaust fan in full blast and I repositioned my 1 fan to hit them better. Next week I’m going to invest in 2 better fans for the tent, one is certainly not enough. Tomorrow I’m going to get the 30% hydrogen peroxide and do a follow up spray. Cheers lads

Good luck with the fight brother! A close friend of mine who grows (but doesn't know I do! LOL) asked me to come look at his plants. He thought they were sick and he knows I'm a big gardener, so he thought maybe I could help. Well, Long story short, he must need glasses because the damage to the plants was not caused by a deficiency, but by the 3 billion fungus gnats he couldn't even see. I felt dirty and contaminated and took my clothes off in the backyard (which was cold at 47 degrees) when I got home. The clothes are still out there, I'm afraid to bring them into my home. I might just burn them, but its hard to find big enough clothes when your a "squatch" so I probably shouldn't. Anyway, I pray I didn't bring any of those little bastards home with me...

I didn't even know fungus gnats could hurt plants, I just thought they were annoying to people and thats why everybody hated them. So they lay eggs in the medium/soil AND bite the leaves? Little bastards!

The fly stage isn’t what’s harmful, it’s the larvae in the soil that are the big killers. They nibble on the roots of the plants which can cause stunting, loss of vitality, and the damage can lead to root rot or other diseases. Bad shit.

I had horrible problems with fungus gnats with my first attempts at growing. Once I switched to hempy and a soil-less medium, no more fungus gnats.

Lol it was in fact the bump and scrape kind... I’m going to give them a spray of the baking soda method then go and get some 30% hydrogen peroxide tomorrow for a follow up spray tomorrow... boy am I ever a dodo head. So is the 3% stronger or weaker?
LOL...it's okay bud I won't even begin to tell you what kind of shit I've done cuz I'm trying to sound intelligent right now  but yes 3% is way stronger...I think they measure it by how much it's diluted with inert materials...I do know the 30% is what restaurants use to wash veggies...peace and good luck bro

hello everybody!!!

I missed you guys :theband:

...I had some little issue and I was not able to be here with you all and follow all the great work you have done till now!

sorry for that!

She never got any inner leaves. I thought I’d wait and see if anything came out of the center, but it’s not looking good. @SeedsMan (or anyone) have you seen something like this before?

Hey @Heavenly Hybrid !

I've seen this before and I agree with you that this little sprout will die soon unfortunally

...probably the apical meristem is not developped or formed! but I dont know why this happen!

I wish you the best!

Personally i disagree. I think she'll grow :p. I once had a seed case take off the cotyledons and main leaves. Was just a stick with that same little round nubbin in the middle. She eventually spat out some leaves. Id keep it covered though and keep that humidity high.
I know yall see a lot of plants but i dont suppose you remember that? @Preston9mm @InTheShed @Pennywise ?
