C99 x Blueberry Fast: Pheno Hunting & Comparison Grow Featuring Alaskan Purple

Popping straight in soil is a crap shoot to say the least

How much water, or moisture
Depth planted
Soil itself
Temp

It can take 3 days to even over 10 days

Soooooooooooo

Yeah, I understand.. since I've been growing it's always been around 4 days for every seed I've ever planted in peat pods.. oh well I'm sure they will make thier way out at some point!!

Peat pods are different than soil as well

See..so many factors

Oh hell...and a full moon

Lol
Yes true, true.. Maaaan.. I've done the water and paper towel method and always fucked up.. I may try that method once more and see if I have success.. If you do this method, what is the best way to do all that? And thanks for the responses!!

I put mine in jiffy pods, no seed pre-soak. They all popped out on day 4. I used a toothpick to open up the hole of the pod about 1/2” down. Because the toothpick gets wet/dirty, you can use that as a guide to get a uniform depth.

I soak in water till I see em crack, usually 24-36hrs ish

Then into paper towels usually room temp, or at least 70f. I've done on a heating pad but woke up too many times to a dry towel

Once I get 1/4" or more tap root, into my medium, 1/2" deep ish

Always works for me

I’m normally pretty straightforward about it. I soak 12-24 hours until the seeds sink, and then put them in a damp paper towel and put that into a sealed plastic bag until I see a tap root. Ambient temp in the house is normally such that I don’t have to do anything else, but I know some people put the bag on a slight heat source, like above the refrigerator or a cable modem. Nothing too hot, but you want to keep it above about 70F, or 21c.*

*Ish. Your mileage may vary. Take with a grain of salt. Should an erection last more than four hours see a doctor.

‘‘Tis be true, I had some Jack Herer seeds from greenhouse seed company that took roughly 14 days to produce taproots, they had me nervous and I almost gave up on them but they took and turned out to be amazing plants. My latest strains that I dropped all had taproots within 24 hours of hitting the pebbles and within a week they all have leaves, I’m pretty impressed with the vigorous growth on these new babies

I personally set my set right on my clay pebbles (undercurrent here) after filling my buckets to where they’re going to be, then I turn my air pump and water pump on and see the water line, I set the seed just above it soo the water splashes it once in a while and with this method I’ve come up with I have had a 100% germ rate this way, I’ve had a couple seeds die after starting a taproot but the seeds were black before starting and were known that they weren’t going to make it. Every other seed has popped though, and my current 4 were started this same way and loving life, all shed their shell within 72 hours! :headbanger::headbanger::lot-o-toke:

I do the same with the heat source. Mine usually tap in a day or two. I take the plastic bag and wrap in a cloth towel on a seedling warmer.

I may start doing the water/paper towel method.. Seeing the outcome seems to work by most people!! I'll give it a go on my next auto seeds!
