C99 x Blueberry Fast: Pheno Hunting & Comparison Grow Featuring Alaskan Purple

Be good to see ya clone success rate @Metal Halide
Don't want to jinx myself but :rollit: I have never lost a clone :slide:...had some turn almost completely yellow o_O but they always lived...I don't clone on a large scale...I only do 2 @ a time in 3 liter pop bottles :nerd-with-glasses:

I have yet to get cloning down. It’s like they do great from the start then just die off slowly. I guess in time I will figure it out and with all the reading I’ve been doing on it makes me wonder where I’m going wrong lol. Excited to see y’all pop yalls seeds tho I’m over here anticipating y’all grow as if it were my own lol. I don’t comment much but I do like reading everyone’s journals. :slide:

Mine look like they're dying off too...but they're eating those few bottom leaves to make roots...it takes 7 - 10 days for most to root...
What's your method?
I use Jiffy pet pellets and a rooting powder I found @ Home depot...With "clean" snips I cut at least 6 - 7 nodes from top of branch at a 45 degree angle...then I use a "clean" razor blade to slice through the base of the cutting in 3 places (think triangle) about a half inch from bottom...to expose soft inside...then I dip them in rooting powder and place in pre-moistened peat pellet...
I put the peat pellets in water (cups) to expand and soak up some moisture...then poke that cutting down into the middle as far as it will go...and then into a clear 3 liter pop bottle...

Well I’ve tried a couple different methods, the one I’m currently trying is a bubble cloner copied from Emilya which I’m having the best luck with so far out of any of my other tries. I’m not giving up tho, I really like this bubble cloner and I think I’m going to keep tweeking it until I figure it out! I posted a couple pictures of it in my lsd grow but just transplanted them into soil Dixie cups and paitienly waiting to see if they are going to live lol

Oh right yeah...did I mention I'm a cheap ole bastard  ...not to mention lazy  ...all that hydro stuff makes me work too hard :cheesygrinsmiley: ...
No...seriously though :nerd-with-glasses: I almost went with hydro...but I was already using a semi-organic compost for my vegetable garden :thedoubletake: ...all I had to do was make it full on organic living soil...so here I am :morenutes::morenutes:

I’m cheap also, put everything together with the bubble cloner for about 20$ just used stuff I had laying around the house! Never done hydro either just thought maybe this would work for me after reading emilyas write up on it. I really like the concept of it then the tranplanting into organic living soil which is exactly what I had done. So I guess it’s up to if the bubble cloner helped to establish the roots or not.

Thanks mate. I'll def keep yas posted throughout the year, Im hoping that my decades of growing can help some people out. Speaking of which, for those having difficulties cloning. there's some great aeroponics cloners out now. I usually have %80 success rate with mid range production.
Seahawk make a dirt cheap one and its better than some priced 5 times as much plus a french company makes another type which is fairly cheap.
Step 1 bleach everything you use including the cloner and pump
Step 2 take cutting 2 inches below where you want to cut and place in bucket with tap water for 5 min
Step 3 take cutting underwater and make your cut there so the stem only uptakes water and not air to stop air embolism and then slice down middle of stem about 5mm from base.
Step 3 dip in rooting formula or honey for 1 min then place into cloner and put lid on but with vents open
Step 3 spray dome with clonex clone food
step 4 fill resy with tap water and H202 diluted depending on strengths
step 5 turn on cloner for 4 hours until H202 starts breaks down into 02
step 5 add rooting nuits to resy. something like rhizofuel or any of them and run cloner for 12 hours
step 6 remove top section from resy and allow the stems to drip dry onto a table with a cloth underneath for a few hours and dry up ( drying of clones accelerated root developent cause happy clones dont feel the need to root as quickly as stressed clones, i mean why bother working hard if your happy and healthy just the way you are) furthermore drying the clones out for a few hours kills almost all the bacteria that thrive in wet conditions.
Step7 put clones back into cloner, add H202 again and continue this wet and dry period for about 7 days until roots appear, changing resy every 4 days and and repeating step 4 and 5.

After 7 days you can run cloner 24/7 until root mass is transplantable
maintain 27-32 degrees celcius, high humidity but not %100.
Foolproof, gives almost %100 success rate, transplanting between 12-16 days usually.
Continue clonex clone food at ph 6.2 and ec 0.4 then up it every few days till at ec 1 then switch to normal veg nuits.
All growing methods i have created myself from decades of research and experimenting. good luck

Here is some helpful information. Just info no solution.

The Cinderella 99 I grow. (Brothers Grimm) flowers so damn fast you can almost watch it build buds. Feeding needs to be adjusted for it. They are about ready to finish when I normally start adding bloom buster. You need to get their food to them faster so you can still get a good flush on them by the end. If the strain you guys are running flowers near as fast things will need to be adjusted also.

So when’s this comparative take off lol and who’s all involved lol

Sounds like a lot of folks are dropping the beans as soon as they get them in the next few weeks.

yeah mate. Ive been growing these fast strains for years. Everyone should be using bulking formula just before week 4. granulated PK is your best bet. i use a 0.54.32. if you prefer more K then grab carbo max to add to it since its 0.0.1 powder. Furthermore and this is important, start to reduce your N during week 4 until your running none at all by week 5 cause you gonna want to get ready to flush. Id also like to say that running PH water for 12 days like you would with a 10-12 week sativa is ridiculous and not needed with these fast strains. ive found that a good flush and then 5 days of water is more than sufficient to remove crappy taste and overly green buds ( they should be brownish). Also try to factor in the drying period while they are still in pots, I like to run 24 hours of dark in very dry pots and only cut once its had that dark and dry time so no more sugar production is made cause they love to bulk up as soon as light and water hits them which can ruin your final product. timing can be difficult with the fasts since everything happens so quickly and it's easy to lose track of time.
