C5Rftw's 2nd Deep Water Culture Grow

well, I noticed a little nute burn.. happened on the biggest plant first.. the res was at 1200, but in 2 days, they consumed 5 gals of water, throwing the PPM to 1400... I put the nutes at 900ppm right now. Im gonna let em stay there for a week before adding any more nutes.. if the problem persist, Im dumping the res. and flushing for a weekk.. its no big deal right now..heres some pics.. what do you guys think?

It doesn't look like classic nute burn. More like a slight phospheros deficiency. I'd add just a bit more flower nutes but not a lot. When they are drinking at that speed little problem like this come along every once in awhile and the trick is not to over react to one little problem. Get a odd leaf here and there in outside plants also.

thanks MC, whatever it is, I'll be watching it..

its is getting rather bushy in the closet, Im loving it...

Looking good man. Is it just me or do those 65w cfl's put off less heat than the smaller one's? I bought a 65w 2700 at Lowes for supplemental lighting, I was shocked to see it puts out less heat than the 42w I'm running. The 42w was purchased at Home Depot so it is a different brand bulb. I cant' touch the 42 for more than a couple seconds but I can hold the 65w.

Anyways good job on the clones and the grow. Great job and the healing, movement is great.

Great buddy you have there too lol.

Good luck with everything!

Cluttered with tops is the best problem I can think of when growing.

yah it is... these are the bushiest plant I've ever had. Everyday Im seeing new tops pop up that were not anywhere around the day before. Im clipping everyday to keep the plants from strangling each other.. also, I believe that plants gets use to the barrier around it... like how the react to a scrog... and even though the barrier is enforced by scissors , I think they still 'know"/react to the area that doesn't get cut and the area that does get cut, and grows in the area that doesn't get cut..

Some brands of 42 watt bulbs get much hotter than my 65 and 85 watt bulbs.

Some brands of 42 watt bulbs do not have the slits for venting heat out, in the base ballast of the bulb.

Keep doing what your doing. They look great.:peace:
thanks man.. I'll try not to mess things up lol

Hey man what nutes you using?

Im using Flora Nova grow... I have flora nova bloom for the switch along with cal-mag+

I use 65 w bulbs from homedepot and they stay cool.. once you cram 10 in above the Deep Water Culture, it can get pretty warm
