Get a little busy this time of the grow and God Bless your helper. I saw where you raised the lights. Good move! That 1000 can be set a lot further away to get the best it has to offer. What's the actual size of your grow space?

12x25 ft... thats where my soil plants are and the 1K light is... the hydro closet is 68"Lx80"Hx44"W.


I just priced everything I would need to put a 600w HPS in my hydro closet, which would be incredible, but it would cost 700 to do it right... the closet already gets up to 90 with CFLS and no ventilation.. now i have a 200cfm fan for the exhaust that runs threw the ceiling of the closet to the attic

Sounds kind of high for a light set-up since you have the exhaust fan. I was just pricing out a 600 NextGen 600/400 switchable and it was less than $350 with a nice reflector but I'd probably just get the ballast and a cool tube.

yah that probably would over do it, but that closet just get so hot.....

I know I would need one 400cfm exhaust fan as my current one is a cheap one and lowers temps 5-10 degrees (78-83), but that isn't good at all since the room that the closet is in stays at 70 and i leave the closet door open...

then I will need a 600w ballast (170) bulb (60) and cooltube (120) and then another 400cfm fan (100) to draw that heat.. plus duct tape and the ducting... and i cant use metal ducts since it has to be quiet... that 700 easily... I would rather just add another six 65w CFLS since I do good with them and just leave the HIDs for the soil...

plants have drank 70 ppm already after i had my helper flush the nutes... was at 1230ppm and now is 1160ppm.. these plants are making everything better for me... just in a good mood, even after my accident. maybe its the pills

yah Roseman Im still down... Hurts the most when I wake up. I gotta take my pain pills then go back to sleep for an hour to give them a chance to work. Then, when I try to get up, it still really hurts.. Im barely able to do my crutches today... Its weird not being able to use your legs, it sucks

THX PowerpuffGirl... Im just stayin in bed, its kinda nice because Im sleeping like 15 hours a day and the days are flying by so it seems like my plants are much bigger everytime I look cause Im only looking when I can bear the pain of walking... Hopefully I heal quick, but bones take forever...

Wow bro been a bit since I checked your thread, sorry to hear about your fall.

I wish you a speedy recovery man, hope you have some natural medicine on hand too. I have been doing solar for 9 years now and you have just reminded me to be very careful when I'm on a roof, getting comfortable up there is not a good thing.

managed to make it to the hydro closet and take some pictures

clones are finally taking off, also i just added two more 65w CFLs, the same type as the other. They are aimed right at the smallest plant
