Buysser's Very First Grow - Mars II 1600 Watt Attic Grow Using Growology

DAMIT MAN! sorry to see you have had a hard road so far...its lessons learned that stick the most sometimes, Im very happy that you have found your system of keeping them moist, to each their own and when you find it stick to it:)! I hope they all make it to beautiful buds!
Ill be steady watching this awesome attic grow as you go!

Best of luck from my garden to yours B!!!!

If you get lockout by over feeding it can get you in a mess if you don't know it's lock out & start adding more nutes to try & rectify it. I've done this in the past when growing in soil & it ruined a harvest. If you know it's a lock out you can flush your medium to clear it but it takes time to recover & adjust back to normal. This is why I adopted the less is more mantra then I know it's a deficiency when something appears & it's much quicker to rectify :)

Thank you sir! It's been a learning experience and fact is, I can't wait for the next grow so I can apply some of these corrections... Thanks for sticking tight, I appreciate it very much! :thankyou:

Needless to say, I've developed a case of nervousness thru this.. I love your mantra....

Don't be nervous buysser, we're all here to help & advise you through the learning experience, so your grow should be pretty smooth but you will learn so much. Every error you make will add to your experience so look at it as a positive & you wont go far wrong.
I started growing over 10 years ago & learnt from a Jorge Cervantes book with no outside help or anyone to share my grows with. I've made more mistakes than I care to mention but it has improved my style & understanding of growing our favourite girls.
I have only recently found this site whilst researching LED panels & I wish it was around when I started growing. It's a great place to learn & there's lots of people are happy to help & share their experience with you. :)

Thanks Skunny! I look forward to getting better every time until I get it down but this patience thing.. damn.. I gotta get that part.. Just want a friendly personal grow that produces some AMAZING bud and I do look forward to passing it on to others to help when I have earned my stripes.. Appreciate all the support!

Hows the Ladies looking???

Hope all is well in the garden!

Thanks everyone for checking in!!
Sorry for the long delay but work got in the way for a day so. Lot's going on in the attic since the last post. I came to the conclusion that the sponges we're kicking my butt. My poor plants went thru every symptom of over watering and under watering known to scientists. I just couldn't get a handle on the moisture needs of the plants vs me thinking it was time to water so I went ahead and transplanted the sponges into dirt. That's been 3 days ago and these are the latest pictures.
THEN I germinated some free seeds from Herbies. None of them srouted much of a root tip so I didn't have high hopes for them after 50 hours in the water but lo and behold, two skunk haze regulars have sprouted after I put them in dirt so I guess I learn how to sex a plant... I made sure the dirt was evenly moist and put them in with Growology step one mixed in to the soil.
I can tell you that I like dirt much better. It's easier for me to tell when they need water.. that's just me though.
So here the three remaining survivors at about one month old transplanted into dirt three days ago plus the two new babies. Two out of three of the ripper toxic seem to be growing new leaves and looking much better since put in dirt. Got the lights about 6-7 inches away and just PH adjusted RO water AS NEEDED... :laughtwo: Temp readings in the attic have stayed in the 72 - 80 range and humidity at a really level 45-50%. That good?
Other then the leaf damage, I have no clue if there on schedule or off or ?????
Anyway, here are the pictures.. tks again for checking in. I appreciate it and always learn a lot.

:thanks:

:thankyou:

Im new to growing cannabis for sure but if i was you and those are a month old i would scrap them and start all new beans. You have prime real estate with an awesome light and not doing anything with it at this point. Get you some more good feminized seeds and plant straight into soil and watch em take off! You have an awesome setup!

:goodluck: :thumb:

Edit to add: of course dont scrape the new seeds you just planted they look awesome!

I use the sponges & a tip to get the moisture level just right is to soak them in ph'd water then when you pull them out keep them upright then squeeze them at the top just a bit so they are are around 2/3 of the original size & do the same in the middle & bottom to get rid of the excess water. They should still be dark brown & a gentle squeeze at the top should show a bit of water. Then its just a case of adding a little water as & when you see them turn light brown. I use a sprayer but a syringe will do the job just as well.
Once you get a hang of that you'll be cooking on gas my friend :)

Yea, I think I was to impatient and wanted to he'll them along. It really is comfort level. Happy I'm moving forward. Should I mess with the three planted?

If you have extra beans i would def start some more. in my time i have learned to cull out the weak or severely stunted, as in this case those month old should have several leaf sets by now, but if you dont then with some continued TLC you will be able to nurse them into some good meds,

AS for the new sprouts...great job! Thats my preferred method..just straight into the first pot of soil they will call home!!!

Thanks sir.. I don't have any extra beans but am seriously thinking about ordering some more. The two that have sprouted are regulars so there's no guarantee that there going to be ladies... 2 out of 3 rippers are actually growing leaves so I think I'm going to leave them alone for a while.
So far soil and I are getting along really well!! :thumb:
