Butter's Auto Anesthesia: Indoor, Soil, LED 4-65W

Where did you find you had the best luck ordering from them butters! Glad you got an inventory building!

I received my seeds from GYO Seeds within a few days. Creepy quick. Then Garden of Green Seeds next. I also received seeds from Cannapot. The last 2 still made it within a week of payment.

So, I caulked the box shut and added a 125w heat lamp, nothing too crazy. Looks like it will keep it around 70f in there, so far. It’s 47f in my garage at the moment. I’ll keep checking every hour or 2.

This box may end up winterproof by the time I finish. With the plant being auto, I can leave the heat lamp on 24/7. Not that I need too yet.

I installed my 4” exhaust fan, fresh air coming in from the top, fan blowing out from the bottom.

What an adventurous first grow here!!!

Great use of space Butter...I do have a question why you vent in from top and out the bottom. Typically, as you are aware based on the knowledge you have, hot air rises and is easier to vent out the top then the bottom. Just curious.

Well, it’s getting pretty cold out at night, and this is actually more of a contained outside grow than inside. My garage has no heat and it’s about to get pretty cold in northeast Ohio. So, I’m actually trying to pull the heat down towards the plants to protect them from frigid weather.

If my autos are just now starting to flower (in week 7) then I can only assume I will be harvesting this plant around week 11 (yes?) it will be snowing out around here by then. But, tucked warmly in a homemade grow box, in my cold ass garage, will be auto Anesthesia (by Pyramid Seeds)

Does this seem like a plausible strategy?

Drag warm air down?

Sure, I don't think there is any harm in it at all. Maybe if anything, which I doubt this time of year, is high humidity up top. It was more for my own info. I knew you must have had a reason. Your background strikes me as an engineer or millwright.

Day 52.

Came home from work, it was 74f in the growbox. It was still mid 40’s in the garage.

I did not realize there would be white hairs growing everywhere.

I might wrap this growbox in fiberglass insulation. I believe I can maintain hospitable temps if I wrap this thing well enough.

So I have the heat lamp and exhaust fan running 24/0 and I brought the LED’s down to 16/8 from 20/4.

I’ve read places that some people run 12/12 on their autoflowers, thoughts?

I will need to keep my heat lamp on 24 hours a day to maintain temps. It’s not actually all that bright, but until next May, I’m going to have to run the heat lamp if I’m going to grow. All autoflowers for now.

I have only ran autos on an 18/6 schedule but I wouldn’t want to run them on less lighting! It is said that it lowers yields and overall quality of the “autos”

This is just from my research and not personal experience. Good luck with whatever option you may choose though!

Great job butters

Pictures!!!

This one branch grew like 6” last night. I created a nice mix of multiple nutes yesterday, mixed it with 2 quarts of water, and today the top layer of soil is already dry...

With cool air coming through the top, due to the exhaust fan being on the floor, pulling the heat down from the lamp (I keep the heat lamp on 24 hours), LED’s are on 16 hours a day, mixed in with my nute concoction, AND!!! the growbox I just built (and made air tight) seems to have steadied at a full time 76 degrees F, the plant is loving life!!!

6% nitrogen
9% phosphate
6% potash
3% calcium
1% magnesium

That was a mix of these 2 together, the one with lots of phosphate I used 1/2 strength. Either way, plants loved it last night.

I forgot the second plant was a week younger... it has stretched a foot in 2 days. It’s kind of awesome. Oh, and if you didn’t already know, this is 2 plants. One bean popped a week later. Seems to be making up for it in the 2nd half.

Day 54 (and day 47 for the retarded bean)

Oh, and I topped the retard bean after the 3rd set. You should see it’s moose knuckles.

Soil was so dry, she was getting droopy on the under branches. Nutes with first 2 quarts, then 2 quarts of filtered water.

I am also running everything 24/0 as of tonight.

These seeds advertised 45 days lol we’re on day 56 & it looks like it could be a few more weeks, yes?
