I would wait for stretch to finish unless some branches were getting dangerously close to the lights. And I sometimes use weights on paper clips to hold the crop horizontal while the knuckle forms. Keeps them from springing back up.
 
After seeing & smoking the critical that I used MC & Terpinator on I'm loving the result. Best shit I've grown in a while. I can smoke 1/2 a joint & get a nice buzz & it lasts about 2 hours so I'm pleased.
 
While watering last night I noticed some leaves were getting wet spots from the other leaves laying on top of them. So I started defoliating ....

Then I got to the 3rd one & I don't like what I'm seeing. Pretty damned sure it's a male / hermie.
But before I get rid of her I would like some comfirmation. After seeing this I checked the other plants & yes ... a 2nd plant has it too. The other 3 look to be female. Unfortunately it's 2 out of 3 Blueberries that did this. Then again, I don't remember where I got these seeds. If they were Regs or Fems, etc. Anyway, please ... a few of you confirm what I think I see. (M or F)?

Hell, after looking at the pics on here .... I'm sure they are males. They are gone today !!!

Yeah, pH didn't do it. They grew fine all along in Veg. No problem with either one till Flower.
So I guess pH-ing isn't really needed in a buffered soil.
Oh well, on the bright side (pun intended) all 3 of the plants that are left get their own light.

I hear you. Just because I like the banana strain doesn't mean I want bananas growing out my weed. Therefore I hauled balls out of the grow room.
 
I'll start new seeds (fems) in 4 - 5 weeks when these get closer to finishing time. I'm thinking 3 plants, 10 gal. Geo Pots. 10 weeks veg. 1-lb per plant. That sounds like my next goal.

Hey there @Emilya , what is the stuff you buy in a bag to replenish used soil ? Is it the stuff called Re-Charge ? I was thinking since I'll need 30 gallons of soil I'd replenish this soil & mix it 50/50 with new FFOF soil. But before I even consider it ... WWED? (What would Em Do).
 
Hey ... you should be a 420Mag plant doc & have a thread called "What Would Em Do". Since many people turn to you they could post their issues there & get your advice. It would make things easy for anyone to find similar issues just looking at your thread. Add a few tutorials & you are now the new Ed Rosenthal.
Oh, when's your book come out ?

There are some mineral packs you can buy that will refurbish the soil after composting them in. The recharge stuff that I have used is just microbes, no minerals

That's a good idea... maybe someday we will go there. I will get back on the book project this winter after things slow down here a bit... every time i pick it up there are new things that need to be added
 
Up for a wake & bake so may as well do a little update on things. So now I have just 1 Blueberry, 1 SFV Kush & 1 OG Pie Face left to work with. The bottoms have been stripped & plants are defoliated. Last night I Super Cropped the Blueberry & OG Pie Face. I'll do the other one tonight.
Hoping to make up some of the yield I lost from the 2 males.
Since I've added Sweet Candy to the MC now I lowered the dose by .5 gr. of MC. So the girls are getting 3.5 gr. of MC with .5 ml. of SC per gallon the 1st 2 feedings to see how they react. If all goes well I'll bump it up to .75 ml.. & then 1 ml. If all goes well there I may or may not add BE the last 4 weeks. We'll see when the time comes.
They are going through a gallon of feed each about every 36 hours. I think I may start feeding less at one time & feed daily so I can do it in 24 hour intervals as 36 doesn't work well for me.
I'll post some new pics after I Super Crop the SFV.
 
I've decided to go ahead & end this journal since the DWC plants are finished & it seems everyone lost interest. No biggie to me as it's a PITA to keep up with a journal anyway. I will leave it open for any questions I may have if I run into issues with my 3 soil plants. I will give an update : I'm currently feeding 4 gr. MC & 1 gr. SC per gallon. So far so good. I've Super Cropped all 3 plants so they are fairly wide with lots of bud sites developing. I raised the Temps in the grow room now that the DWC plants are gone. Temps now range from 75 - 79 F. Not sure of Leaf Temp as I'm still waiting for my IR Thermometer to get here. RH has been right at 50% which is a little high, but OK. In about a week I'll be adding a little BE to the mix little by little (.5 gr. per gallon increments). Looking to pull a minimum of 32 oz. from these 3 girls. I'm hoping that 8 - 9 weeks of veg & Super Cropping did the trick. I got 33 oz. off my last 3 soil plants so it should happen if all goes right. Once they start really budding up I'll post some pics. Till then, I'll be around checking out some of your journals.
I never seem to have the time to read others journals when I'm doing one at the same time. The DWC stuff left no time at all for anything. Too much monitoring stuff all the time. Not all that much of an increase in yield to make it worth all the trouble for me. I prefer the simplicity of soil.
Looks like I may be getting some Industrial Grow experience after the 1st of the year. A printing company I use to work for went out of business 2 years ago & it's currently being gutted & turned into a grow facility. I've been stopping there on my way home from work everyday for the past 2 weeks trying to catch the owners & not just the construction crew. Finally caught them yesterday. We talked about growing & it seemed things went well. The place should be ready around the end of Jan. so he said if I was still interested in working there to come see him after the 1st of the year & he will put me to work. Now I have to find out what it is I have to have as far as Cultivation is concerned just in case it doesn't go full legal.
I know there's a different card for working as a Bud Tender & that one costs $500 every 2 years. Not sure about the Cultivation Card yet.
