I switched the timers over to 12/12 this morning. That last DWC Auto just going to have to finish up that way.
 
So last night I started the chop on the other DWC Critical. This is probably the frostiest plant I ever had. Must be the Terpinator. (I Like It) ! Anyway, removed 90% of the Fans & chopped off 5 of the branches that looked completely done. They are hanging in the closet to dry now. Topped the bucket off & it's pushing 950 ppm this morning. Oh well, not going to worry about it as it will be completely done by the weekend.
The soil plants are friggin amazing. Already seem to be stretching & putting out pistils. Guess they were ready for it. Got a feeling these will be 4' - 5' tall monsters the way they are growing.
Don't think I've ever vegged 8 + weeks before. Let's see what 2 extra weeks produces. Hoping to break my 11.1 oz. grow off a plant; but I'll be happy with what I get ... lol.
Haven't had a lot of time these last few days as I'm back to work Full Time + O.T. Hard doing OT after 4 months off. Wearing me out working 10 hours a day plus an hour drive to work each way.
Doesn't leave much me time. It will slow down when it gets close to Nov. as we are doing a ton of election printing right now. Sure be glad when the elections over & America has picked it's biggest loser. Yeah, I don't think either candidate is worth a shit.

Well there went another $68 on nutes. Running low on MC so ordered the 2500 gr. bag plus 1000 gr. of Bud Explosion & 1000 gr. of Sweet Candy. Actually $52 on nutes. Rest was shipping.
$16 for shipping 400 miles seems pretty high to me.
I'll see what the combo does next grow.

Thanks for thinking about me @Buds Buddy :hugs: I'm still lurking from time to time, tested negative for the virus, but I feel like shit to tell the truth, bad headaches and blurred vision, makes it hard to look at the forum or type. I'm sure I'll be back to my old sarcastic self here soon though :passitleft:

Finished the chop on the other DWC last night so down to the 5 soil plants now. 1st 2 pics are what I chopped a few days ago. Next 3 pics are of what was left on the plant before I finished the chop. Last 2 pics are of the total harvest. Still have to trim the stuff from last night.

I got a question for you pro-growers. Is there a best time to defol or super crop during flower ?
On the DWC plants I defoliated 1 at 1 week & the other at 3 weeks. One plant got much bigger then the other ... but not sure the defol timing had anything to do with it. I'm 1 week into flower now & have pistils showing. They are stretching quite a bit so I'll need to super crop somewhere along the line. So when is it best to do so ?

I have a 2500 gr. MC, 1000 gr. BE & 1000 gr. SC on it's way. should arrive today or Monday according to tracking.
I flipped to 12/12 a week ago & pistils are on all 5 plants. I mix a 5 gallon bucket of nutes to feed 5 plants every other day. So far I'm using 4 gr. per gal of MC & 3 ml of Terpinator per gal.
Anyway, I was going to quit using the Terp. & start using the BE & SC once it arrives.
I'm not sure of the ratio's per gal. when mixing BE & SC to the MC. I'd also like to know the proper time to be adding these things in.
Any of you have a journal where you use these products that go in to detail on how much to use & when ? The Terpinator sure made my last grow frosty, like I've never had before. For this reason I want to see what BE & SC will do.
I also need to do a Large Fan Leaf Defol & Super Crop these girls. All 5 of them have 4 - 5 branches each that are way above the rest. Should I Super Crop now or wait til after the stretch is done ? Defol now or later ? These girls are getting kind of big & looking quite pretty. I'm looking to do the best job I've ever done to these babies.
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks !
 
I haven't gotten a confirmation on this, but I believe the intent is for the pure PK supplement BE to be used in non soil situations and SC is intended with all of its extras to be used in soil. I am of the firm opinion that they should not both be used together... it is just too much. Adjusting to that, I think that SC can safely be used once during mid veg to sweeten the soil, and then again in week 5 after budset, and then in week 6 with every watering till the chop.
This is opinion only... I have no facts to back me up, and certainly no science. Take it as you will.

I do my major cleanup of the leaves before stretch to not stress a budding plant, but also a final light cleanup during and after stretch, and then I leave them alone.

Good job on this being the best job! I find that every grow I get in, I learn a little bit more and you obviously are too. :thumb:

So you think the BE is more for Coco or Hydro ? Might have to do another DWC grow ... lol.

I’m in coco, I don’t use any additives with MC. I usually clean up lower branches once stretch has stopped usually around 21 days after you flip. I super crop when ever the plants get to close to the lights.

i've read and seen on videos that some commercial growers do a massive defoil before going into bloom.

Thanks @PK1 :hugs: it's getting better :thumb: headaches are almost non existent and the blurred vision is just in spots now...found out my test for anti bodies was positive, so apparently I've already had the Covid :thedoubletake::thedoubletake:

So do you think it's OK to Super Crop now during the stretch or will it slow the growth ?

I did that a week before the flip (2 weeks ago). All grew back since then.
