Bill I have been working to get this person to try all sorts if things I have made specifically for him. He would try NOTHING. He saw me having a few puffs and out of the blue asked to try. He and I did not think it would effect him like that. In fact I was disappointed that he only got a little hit and did not even think he would feel a tiny puff like that as I knew I would not... oh well. Face plant. :cheesygrinsmiley:

Green Dreamz and Colorfuldayze we got our mom to try as well... she can't smoke so she tried many types of other things and did not benefit at all so she stopped.

I got no pics and I am still recovering from the holidays... I wish it was because I partied, it is just cause I am old!

Fresh-frozen...period. It makes the best water hash and the best BHO hands down IMO. Dried herb is best for dry-sifting. That's it. I've never had enough to go the dry-sift route. Water hash yields ~10% (higher if a nug run obviously) , and dry-sifting yields less than that usually, but you get more of the volatile terpenoids (since they weren't diluted/rinsed away in the water).

But yeah...fresh frozen man. ;)

damn

Somehow I got it in my head that I wanted dry material for extractions with solvents, other than ice water. I've been storing my sugar trim as fresh frozen for hash, but recently started experimenting with other solvents (ethanol and butane). I know with ethanol, the water is be a problem. That's why it's best to do this at below freezing temps. I didn't consider Butane's different chemical properties. I just finished a harvest on Christmas. Unfortunately, I dried all of the popcorn smaller stuff. I guess I will fresh freeze that stuff too next time. So water doesn't interfere with the extraction when using butane huh? I've got all this dry material to use up now. I guess I'll see for myself what difference it makes. Good to know I can use all this trim intended for hash also. I much prefer the butane extract over the hash :winkyface:
