If you have a sensitive nature about defoliation, I will suggest you skip this post.

I went in today to evaluate my clones for culling. I had considered the option of doing a veg defoliation Bassman59 style, so decided to go a bit further.

The idea is to thin and remove any branches that aren't going to be contributing to the final product. Also to remove most of the larger fans to allow more air flow and reduced humility. I took off lots of lower fluff and smaller branches that I don't want competing for space and light to grow buds. I really want to go into stretch in about three or so weeks with some strong 2-4 branch plants.

So here is a before picture of one of the clones.

There are Seeds! About 8 so far. But only on the Gold Leaf girls and only a few on the mostly top colas. Complete inspection of all plants and I'm not seeing anything that resembles pollen making equipment. Another one of life's mysteries.

I'm feel I should write 420 and ask if they have had any similar issues with what is a special strain from them.

Once the male parts open they fall off and float away. They look like tiny dried yellow flowers. I bet you can find one or two in your tent somewhere. Lol well actually you’re probably a lot cleaner than I, so you’ve probably already cleaned them up.

I would suggest spraying with water to neutralize any stray pollen, but those seeds look big, they were pollinated a while ago. Hope it’s just the 8.

Thanks for you input on the pollen machines. I'm semi tidy, but I haven't cleaned the floor of my tent in quite a while. I try not and drop or spill much while in there.

Agreed, I'm thinking what damage that's been done was a while back and I'm hoping for the best at this point. @FelipeBlu suggested isolation, but I'm not finding anything to isolate at this point. Should I still spritz down with some pH balanced water or has that time passed a long time ago. A lite foliar spray?

I have removed the seeds I have found so far. Would leaving any that I find at this point be harmful? Perhaps I guess I will get some to grow some more Gold Leaf and what ever created the pollen. Maybe Gold Leaf since it seems those are the only plants that are affected at this point???

@BTzGrow came over for a little visit today. Had some great conversation and he shared some of his “Skywalker OB”. It has a very distinctive smell, slightly similar to the Ob Wan OG I grew, but not the same. It has very nice energetic sativa high that lasted a good while. Great job!

Got to try the Magic Flight Box for he first time too, it was pretty cool, but I still prefer the Arizer.

Thanks, I enjoyed coming over and sharing some of my first grow experience. Glad you enjoyed the smoke. I have to agree the Arizer performs better and easier. I had some of your Unknown OG after getting home and am very impressed. A very deep high that equally lasted.

Conversation last night about my current seed issue and also about some of the ideas related to making edibles was great. Also very interested in your new project with pain oil. Looking forward to hearing of that success.

Per my conversation last night with @DrDoob I took some pictures of some of the colas heads of the Gold Leaf plants. We were talking about the maturity of a plant and pistils changing color when there are seeds. I feel we both agree given the mature level of the seeds I plucked off, that the pollination must have happened several weeks ago. So damage control at this point seems rather pointless.

Regardless here are the pictures I took this morning before lights out.

I also moved the Gold Leafs off their raised boxes in the middle and moved them over to the side of the tent. This should reduce some of the light levels they've been receiving. I moved the SLH's into the middle, but without any platform as they are a bit taller than the GL's.

Those buds are bulking up for sure and still plenty of white pistils shooting out!

B, what's crackin.... Looks like you got alot going on... Love the trim.... My idea is to go on up to 60 days from cutting to budding so I ALWAYS trim in that technique.... Makes for easier harvest for one, but mostly allows for more accurate predictions on harvest and watering regularity, and the like... Kudos Buddy.... Green days... and to all

Thanks MH, just chilling and watching things grow along. Actually just trimming to keep all the little one patient while the flower tent matures. Don't want to let them get to tall so will let them fill out some instead. Hopefully. I am going to start a new grow journal for the clones currently in the veg tent. Will be doing a bit of a grow comparison between defoliating at 21 days or not on matching clone twins. Green Days back at ya, enjoy.

I guess it has been a while since I posted anything. Thanks for reminding me. The grow is doing well. Increase the nutrients by double, but then it was fairly low to begin with.

Day 100 - Day 52 since flip. 14 weeks from seed drop, 7.5weeks since flip. I guess supposedly I'm within 2 weeks of maturity listed by 420 for both the SLH and Gilda of the GL. A week longer for the other two perhaps. They do all seem to be packing buds nicely. Not as much as I had hope for at this point, but about where my last grow was at this point perhaps.
