‘smokes knife! That’s beautiful :D really fine!

Very nice blade you got there!! Your in my area too, aren’t ya? Damn I might have to get you to make me a knife sometime! :thumb:

Yeah I'm in Edmonton. Deffinately feel free to hit me up if you'd like to discuss details

Took DDA down tonight day 106. My teenage wedding auto is stretching hard right now and I realy didn't have room in my tent for 3 plants. Going to have to stick with 2 at a time in this tent :-(
Anyway, here's some pix. Rough trimmed and into the drying boxes (first time I've needed the second box!!)

Teenage wedding auto day 38
Just hitting her stretch now. Think Im about done with the LST and going to let her finish stretching before I do some clean up of the lower junk.

M.O.B got the chop last night. Actually surprised at how much I pulled off. Likely just going to get it pressed for rosin.

Teenage wedding is 45 days old today and looking great. Stretch seems to be slowing down and bud sites are forming. Already even seeing a fair bit of frost for this early.

And a folding knife I'm finishing up this evening.

Thanks for looking
Have a knife day

Hey Knife, I keep forgetting to ask you ...

I have this simple kitchen paring knife that I've had for 35+ years, and whenever I look to replace it, I come up blank.

What the heck is it and why can't I find another one? The metal rusts easily and is very thin. It's springy and it feels like it would snap before it bends much, even though I've put a slight bend in it once or twice.

All the typical paring knives I see are much thicker and feel clunky in my hand.

(Please pardon the condition.)

Wow that bad boy has seen a couple sharpenings lol.
Its hard to say what brand it is but if I had to guess based on the handle construction it looks like an old hickory paring knife.

What's the blade material though? No one  seems to use it anymore.
Probably high carbon tool steel.
Yes penny is right. Old hickory uses 1095 HC tool steel. Looks like its around 1/16" or thinner at the spine which would account for the flexibility you mentioned.
