British Stoner 1st Time Grow

@InTheShed is an absolute pro on the medicinal extracts and how to do them . if he doesnt know it then it's not been done yet. !. I am sure he could support you on the best way to get exactly what you need from your plants available pharmaceutical uses.
Wow, that's an introduction I can't possibly live up to! What I can do is let you know what I do know and point you to people who know what I don't :). If you have any questions about oil making or usage, or what to do with what parts of the plant, tag me and I'll be glad to help!

I definitely had a lot of issues getting clones to root at first, and I'm thinking it was lack of proper doming/ventilation technique!

Stagnant air, no airflow, and laziness from having plenty of moisture from the condensation on the leaves stopped them from feeling the need to root!

Now I'm kicking myself for ever suggesting it!! Thanks for setting the record straight! Especially where temps are high, a dome is NOT the answer

So as a quick experiment I actually took a few "clones" to try and root without actually doing enough reading on the subject and they barely have rooted after about a month, re-reading your comments I've just realised my humidity was too low _ feel like a Homer Simpson moment lol

Also tried to make brownies out of my ABV from my mighty vaporiser. Not much potency so was a bit disappointed but did help me sleep well for a few hours lol

Haha don't know if you've followed this journal but def followed a few of your stuff which has been super helpful. Nice to see yah!

Update: Day 82 trying to decide how much to defoliate and how to get it to grow longer rather than bushier (will that only happen after I flip??).
Also why do my autos grow so freaking SLOOWWWWWWWW (its peaking its ugly baby head in the corner of the tent.

So I actually doubled the recipe since I know my tolerance is high. Guess either I vaped most of the goodies out or my technique was off.
1 tbsp lecithin
30g ABV
Approx. 150mL coconut oil

To be honest I didn't properly strain the mix I just poured the top part of the oil and left the rest of the ABV in the jar.

The photo makes the leaves seem like they're close to the soil surface but they're a few inches above but will remove some lower leaves and see if that helps. Think I'm planning to flip as my NL auto starts flowering so in about 4wks.

A little, felt like I had the potential to feel high, if that makes sense. Got some more left so will try to make a stronger batch, only issue is that if felt like too much AVB and not enough oil to "dissolve" it in.

Oh wait, that's what I used for the oil. For the brownies I actually used about 50mL oil, 40mL water and 220g of brownie mix. But yes, low% was why I was a bit apprehensive of trying it but thought may aswell. I'll just re-use the oil, see how that goes. Thanks Shed!

I actually came across one of your threads when I went searching for solutions Shed!

Tbh I was really trying to avoid buying more products. At the moment I quickly sprayed it down with Provanto bug killer as I use that for my veg plants (wasn't happy having to use it but apparently its fine for flowers and edibles and I'm still early into flowering).

On Thurs, I was then going to spray it down with 1part iso 6part water with a squirt of dish soap or oil and spray again on the weekend.

Just read up on the Provanto and I wouldn't use it for my grow. Stick to dish soap or iso/water would be my advice.

Provanto has two ingredients on the data sheet:
"Methylisothiazolinone is moderately to highly acutely toxic in oral, dermal, eye irritation, dermal irritation, and inhalation acute toxicity studies."

and
Deltamethrin, which is a form of pyrethrin.
"Pyrethrins kill insects on contact. But these chemicals hurt more than insects. Pyrethrins can also be harmful to humans, especially in cannabis products designed for smoking, because these chemicals can be easily absorbed through the lungs."

Spinosad works on thrips (not mites though) and has a longer half-life but a 6x/plant spray limit. That's why I bought the Dr Bronners. A bottle will last forever and it works on mites, thrips, and apids. Dish soap should work if it's mild and non-detergent, but iso/water makes me nervous on trichomes. Though there are folks who use 70% iso mixed 1:9 with water in flower. I have better luck with the soap spray.

Ok so the problem was getting worse so resolved to buy the Castile soap lol. Thanks Shed!
Added ~20ml to 1L water and sprayed.
Will do again in 3days.

Weirdly my plants look less full than they did at the start of flowering. Done a bit of defol but not much, mainly dying leaves ‍♀️
