British Green's 1st 420 Grow Journal

Honestly I've never had such vigorous growth in veg from any system. The only downside to the wilmas is cleaning the res. Not good when roots are through the support table. So it takes time. But imho I think the wilmas are a blank canvas to do with as you wish.

Edit: And you know what they say a big root system helps develop fatter buds.

The only thing I planned to edit was turning the dripper into a drip ring...but now I got something to think about!

Having my own wilma/flood and drain/Capn style system built at the moment (for a separate tent) Will be a low but wide rez with a drain table about that will contain about 9 air pots that are fed through a top feed drip ring system with an 80% Rockrool 20% clay pebbles mixture.

I use to build my own wilma systems and could add and remove tubs/buckets with ease . I pumped from main res up on too tables with trays and tubs on them and let the water drain back to the res . I still had air stone's in the res even tho the water poured back into the res :) I found my Wilma worked best when the pump was on 15mins on 15mins off . The roots would go mad because they got so much more air as the pebbles would draw air through them as the water drained out :)

Yea its precisely all that messing about the reason I switched back to hydro from soil. And I did a bit of research that clarifies what you say about light on them. My system isn't just a top drip though. Its a sexy converted Wilma. Which is now a top drip rcdwc. As I made bigger holes so roots could hit the reservoir. So I've got 4 11 litre pots and a 30 litre res filled with roots pmsl. But yea I hate all the farting about transplanting from this to that. Has that white chronic got WW in it?
Yes random its from cream of the crop and its a cross of white widow and chronic :) it's been a very good girl and so was high priority :)

Basically the same concept. Apart from I can no longer lift my individual pots as the holes for drainage are jam packed with roots then the gap between table and pot has a section of spreader matt for nft so I get a good mass off roots in between which in turn have grown down into my main 30 litre res. In effect it was a recirculating top drip system that evolves as the plant grows into a top drip/ dwc that recirculates. If I wanted to see inside my main res I would have to lift 4 huge plants 4 hydroton filled pots and the actual table with all the roots dangling at the same time. But after a few runs in this Wilma I'm gutted as I could of made a better one for 30 quid using bits from poundstretchers

I think so it's definitely got a haze tint of flavour to her . That's why I built my own :) I went into the shop looking to buy six eight pot wilma's and thought I could build that after a good look at them . Went home and did exactly that . The first one I made was six trays with eight pots on each tray draining back to one big res :) it was the dogs

I'm changing grow area so I'm wanting a really low reservoir. I'm trying to re create k33f tr33z parabolic grotunnel but obviously with my own twist to fit my needs. But his concept is just amazing. Pulling 12 oz per plant in his grotunnel using defoliation and bending. Awesome read if you have the time.
