British Green's 1st 420 Grow Journal

Your seeds may take several days to germinate.

When I germinate seeds I use a matchbox lined with about 320 sandpaper to shake the seeds in for a minute, it scrapes the sides of the seeds to aid in moisture penetrating the seeds shell.

After having germination issue with Jiffy peat moss pucks and soil I switched to Rapid Rooters and have had much higher germination rates. Rapid Rooters seem to provide the seed with the perfect amount of air and moisture. I soak my seeds in pH adjusted water for 30-36 hours or until i see tap roots. I cut the Rapid Rooter mat into individual squares then I soak the Rapid Rooter squares in pH adjusted water for 15 minutes before use. Then I place the seeds tap root down into the Rapid Rooter square then place them underneath a light with 18/6 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness. I do not use a humidity dome. I hand water with a syringe each day to keep the Rapid Rooter square moist. when I see roots emerge from the Rapid Rooter square I transplant to 5" pots in a mixture of peat moss, perlite, vermiculite and mycorrhizae.

I will try your method soon kjc . As I only put my seeds into rock wool cubes soaked in Buxton bottled water and leave them to do it themselves . Once I see roots I transplant into net pots filled with clay pebbles and let the roots hunt for my water in a tote tub with a air stone . I normally have a good rate of success . I've been away for a few day's so when I get home tonight I'll be checking on them .

I hope they have all popped as well my friend. I'm going auto shopping this weekend . I will be joining the dark side . How's the baby and the wife . Hope all is good with both of them .

All is good mate thanks for asking mate. Ive just started a new journal( finally found some time) join the dark side you know you wanna.

Tell me more my engineering friend . Or do you mean normal plants that only flower under 12/12

I mean photo plants that you just grow 12/12 from seed - add one week to the flowering time, so if it's a 9 week indica, it will take 10 weeks from seed to harvest, and you get full quality meds, nothing with any ruderalis in it, not to mention the money saved from running the lights 50% less time..

I run them in 3.5 litre pots and pulled 1.8 ounces from the heaviest, and 1.6 from the lightest

I don't see the point in autos when photo plants can be had in the same time, sometimes quicker - sativas live their lives in the wild under 12/12 remember :peace:

I've got a 3 week old delicious cotton candy and a one week old lemon kush running 12/12 form seed in my current journal, tag along for a bit to see if it would work for you :peace:

Autos or 12/12 photos you get what you want from them. I do think though as the genetics get better with autos then the yields are getting better and better. Just curious theengineer is that wet or dry weight? and ill pop over your yard when I get a chance mate.

that is dry weight, I never weigh them fresh ;)

I'm trying the next run in a 5.7 litre tub to see what I can pull from that - but tbh, if this batch of 12/12s turn out to be as I expect them to be with the addition of blue light, then I might just switch to it for all plants as I can run 9 of them in my tent at a time :peace:
