Breaking Brix: Buck's DIYs

3000/90 in my eye is the best full spectrum chip out there. More than enough blue.. But because of the 4000's ur gonna run, i would fill the rest with 2700/90's.. Future electronics has a good price on them.
Cheers
That's mostly where I've been buying whatever I can because they have an office close and shipping is like 7.50 cad only things I've had to source elsewhere have been my sst133's and my hlg 240h c1400b's.

I got up early this morning. Here's the girls

Here's the girls after a heavy spraying of mite massacre. I've also been keeping RH 60 to 75%. I have to fly out for work for few days. As soon as I get back it's flip time. ✌️

Thats the guy. Super cool and helpful. The only thing deficient in white light is that 660nm peak. So I will add two rails of discrete photo red crees. Still should be very efficient. I like his boards because the LEDs have such good spacing.

You should be nailing it with those boards and the reds. I hope you do a journal with them, I would love to follow and see how they perform. It's gonna be a real nice setup .

Hey Buckshot

I love the setup, especially the cob builds.
I scanned the first few pages and commend the neat craftsmanship.

Did I miss a cost page or you havent mentioned it?
total, or per light avg?
have you done any comparisons with and without the reflectors?

I made frames for SweetSues cob kits she won from Timber. She loves the Timbers.
and I love the Vero240 she passed on to me. I might take it apart though and stream line it a bit.
thats why I asked about the reflectors. I may incorporate them with the rebuild

To be honest I forgot all about putting cost. I'm on the road for work. I'll get it put together later this week. I need to take my meter and test the lights with and without lenses. From what I've read the lenses do great if you have them on 1ft centers. But I'll try to verify with meter, thanks

Hey there Buck... sub'd for flowers!

I run the VERO 29 COBs @ 3K for VEG and flower rooms. I mix in some red light with them in flower. VEG is off the charts since install. Now all plants coming out of VEG are @ 5.5 - 6' tall when flowering... so good height and great mass coming out of VEG. A HUGE improvement for me.

Sorry to hear about your mite issue. Anyone that grows indoors at this level usually gets them. Treatment is a must. Your RH is pretty high, I start to worry and PM and that's a lot harder to fix than bugs.

I've had good result using Neem oil AND Take Down .... (both organic as I'm an organic soil grower). Mites adapt to the same treatments over time. So multi pronged attack is what works. Keep temps low as you can ... 90F daytime temps is what they like for eggs to hatch.

I dig your power board you built, that's awesome. Only thing I'm wondering about is the timer you use. Are you running 1500W thru that one powerstrip/timer?

If so I've had to throw more than a few of them away after failures and went to 20A pool pump timers and switches.

I got them in winter with low humidity, 20%. That's why I've been trying to keep RH in 60's. I have 2 timer strips I'm using, I need to check on 20 amp pool timers. Thanks for checking journal out

I'm gonna but in for a sec--- this to all you cob enthusiasts.

Have you ever considered a verticals grow with hps.

I'm quite certain it's higher returns
