Boo’s Perpetual Grow Journal

:ciao: Happy Thursday all! Not a lot to report today. Chocodope is plugging along. She's got a lot of cloudy trichs and her pistils are starting to get more orange and wavy.

Maybe she'll be ready next week or the week after. I have another grow in the tent that I need to plan for and I also need to plan the summer grow. I see people with their summer babies already and I'm still thinking, thinking, thinking. Lol. I'm seriously thinking about doing a photoperiod plant in there and topping/training the shite out of it....but I'm nervous it may still get too big. :cheesygrinsmiley:. I need to make a decision on that soon since the tent will soon be empty!

I got prizes from Geo Pot yesterday and there was a little extra gift in the box:

What a nice surprise! Has anyone out there used this before? I certainly plan to! Thanks for watching and stay safe out there. :peace:

Chocodope is looking..potent!

That's my plan too with the Iced Grapefruit- I got away with it with the SSH, so might as well try again.
I probably won't veg it for very long- to hopefully keep it "box friendly" ;)

Yeahhhhh. So I have several Photos to choose from - all free! Maybe I will dig them all out and ask my fellow growers for opinions? Maybe veg 3 weeks and then turn to flower? I’ve got the extension on the Chocodope tent so there is a good amount of room. oof. I need to start whatever is next soon - AND start the summer sativas. It could be epic. :cheesygrinsmiley:

EDIT: Or, I could get in on the @Weed Seeds Express comparative grow and go for it in the tent...and maybe outside?

I vegged that SSH for 49 days, and it only got 17" tall, so (I'd say) you could probably veg for 8 weeks or so (56 days)- although, some do grow considerably faster than others- the SSH was a real slow starter.
Or just veg till it's half as tall as you'd like it to end up, and maybe figure on supercropping if it does some crazy stretching..you do have quite a bit of headroom in your tent, so it might work out fine without having to bend anything down
I also grew a Peyote Critical and a Northern lights in the box, both photos, both 21" tall at harvest time-
I'll have to look back in my notes to see how long I vegged them- I think it was 6 or 7 weeks....

I'm using it in all my new grows (sponsored grow in ProMix and the WC/CBG grow in FFOF) seems to be a good product. Definitely wear a mask when dispensing it, it's TINY granules and easily airborne.

Morning grow friends! :ciao: All is quiet in Booville. We had major thunderstorms blow through here overnight and into the morning. It was loud and bright! I love laying in bed listening to the rain.....:cheesygrinsmiley:

Chocodope continues to do her Chocodope thing. I think she is getting close. She's been slowing down a bit on the uptake of nutes.

She smells delicious still.

Dark Devil #3 is still a weirdo - despite the topping. I think she's destined for the compost bin soon.

Little Devil...all 1 1/2 inches of her.o_O

Stay safe out there:peace:

That is one sad looking plant. Are you sure it's just the topping that made it look that way? Since I'm planning on topping one of mine, it would be good to know.

Did you top it the way you would a photo or did you look up how to top an auto and do it that way?

But, the Chocodope looks dope. But you knew that.

Morning HashGirl! It isn't the topping that made her that way - she's just a bad seed! I've planted 4 of them so far. The first one started out normal and then turned out to be a very tiny little plant that flowered quickly - I got 2 grams from her. Lol. The second one looked like the one above and I threw it away. The third one is the one above and she's getting tossed soon, I just topped her for practice and to see if it would help - and it didn't! :cheesygrinsmiley: The 4th one is in my other journal and it looks okay ..for now. So, to answer your question, I don't believe there is any difference in topping autos and photos, but you should top your auto before it goes into flower. I like to top them as high a node as I can while leaving a tall stump. Others top short based on their preference. Hopefully that makes sense?

I was fortunate the Chocodope vegged for a long time and I was able to top her at her 5th node. That gave me two main colas that I tied down so that the other three nodes could catch up with her. That's what gave me basically 8 main colas. Her tallest colas are the upper node (4) and the 2nd node. The first and third node are not far behind! I did the same with the Zkittles plant I grew before her and she was a biggie as well.

Hopefully that makes sense and is helpful.
