Boo’s Perpetual Grow Journal

Hi, Boo!
I meant to stop by yesterday to congratulate you on your PhOTM win!
but I evidently got sidetracked...
Very nice pic! Congrats, and sorry I'm late!
Some pretty nifty prizes coming your way!

I meant to stop by yesterday to congratulate you on your PhOTM win!
Thank you! I was surprised but also honored. There were a LOT of batches of gummies in that pic! All thanks to you and your perfect recipe! :thanks:
Congrats on Photm Boo!!
Thanks HH! I‘m super happy about winning. It’s like the lotto - you can’t win if you don’t play! :high-five:
Well deserved prize win
Thank you Miss Amy. And congrats to you as well my dear! :welldone:
... those numbers Boo - They’ll get ya! :laughtwo:
Oof! They did! Once I start feeling it - like 15 minutes after I ate it - I thought “oh shit, I forget to halve one ingredient“. LOL! At least I know chocolate works. :cheesygrinsmiley: Good times.

Those gummies look amazing. The lighting was perfect.
Congrats on POTM!!!
What did you use to take the pic?
Thanks VG! I took it with my phone camera (google phone), with the jar and gummies sitting on my countertop. That was it. The gummies are really really good. It’s @Carcass ’s recipe only I substituted Everclear tincture for the oil. I’ve actually been taking them to help sleep and they’ve been working pretty well.

:ciao: Happy Friday fellow growers! Hope everyone is doing well. Here is a quick update on my little Chocodope. She is 65 days old, and 4 1/2 weeks in flower. Her colas are starting to stack pretty nicely.

She is a wild looking thing, but I still love her.

And of course a silhouette.

I think she's got another 4.5 weeks left, so we are hopefully half way there. I need to go out of town for a few days and am trying to figure a feeding plan. I read that a very wide tray with nutrients in the bottom might work for a few days, but there is risk in that (as well as many other options). If anyone has thoughts on how to tide her over for two feedings I'm all ears.

My Playhouse is getting a little crowded...

More to come on the new tent and journal soon! :cheesygrinsmiley:. Take care of yourselves - there is light at the end of the COVID tunnel! :peace:

Thanks Shed! It was a birthday gift from my iso dealer :cheesygrinsmiley: I'm not entering anything in the PotM until Van Stank says he's definitely NOT entering anymore! :laughtwo:
I dunno, I think that chocodope has a real chance at beating even Stank!! Neck and neck for sure. It’s SO gorgeous!
Congrats on the new tent, that’s friggin awesome!

Nice looking plant there Boo. I can hardly wait to watch her colas get plump.

As far as your watering/feeding problem, maybe you could hookup some kind of temporary drip system using some flexible tubing, a hose, a battery operated timer and a water faucet. That would take care of water but not nutes. Maybe some kind of top dressing for that.

Thanks BigD. I was thinking about something like that only in a 5 gal bucket...:hmmmm:

Morning growers. During my morning inspection I found this:

PXL_20210306_133742055.jpg

Not really sure what it is... She's at 5.5 g/gal MC and has no tip burn at all. She's been taking a gallon per day for weeks. In the charts here regarding plant problems this looks like a boron def? Seems like I've had this happen a couple times in the last year, and it also seems like it was close to the same time in flower...:hmmmm:. Could it ba a Calcium issue? Any thoughts/advice welcome. :thanks:

Hey there ! I had probs with Mc in bloom
they sell graviton ( Bud hardener ) to supplement maybe ? I dunno
but I definitely supplement Cali mag and ‘ recharge ‘ when I use MC

Hi Northern Hydro. Welcome to my journal! I think a lot of people do use those supplements with MC. I have not so far. I seem to remember someone (maybe @Mr. Sauga ?) suggesting to up the MC before trying the supplements. I need to go look at bookmarks. Thanks for your help!

What I try to say is when you reach 5.5g of MC and your plant starts to show defs it's normally caused by a lockout. The K.Ca.Mg ratio goes astray and your plant can't get the nutrients needed.

At that point you need to back off to a level like 4.5g or 5g per gallon and add some calmag which when done right will balance those ratios. The amount of calmag is dependant on the version of MC you are using.

When using MC, and your plants exhibit deficiencies when being fed less than 4.5g per gallon, then yes, you increase the MC. The Mg, as seen in the below image, is quite low. That should be close to a 4 to 1 ratio of K.Ca, and a 2 to 1 ratio of Ca to Mg.

Where is the damage noted Boo?

Hi Mr. S! Thanks for your response. Here is the damage:

It is on three leaves so far - they are on the top half of the plant, not the very top though, middle of main colas. I don't have my MC bag anymore but I did save this when I put it into the airtight container:

And here is what it looks like:

Thanks Mr. S.
