Boo’s Perpetual Grow Journal

Sorry, Boo, but picturing you carrying schlepping a big pot plant across the yard in the snow brought a smile to my face...
Wow, that Chocodope is a real beauty- I'm not sure I've seen a pot plant grow that fast before, I know none of mine have!
Well then, you are welcome! :laughtwo: I had a hard time just getting to the Playhouse let alone back with a handful of plant...and it was a shocked and frenzied realization when I woke up so...there you go! LOL!

Chocodope is one of my special, “buy some genetics” purchases from Victory Seeds. I was pleased at the longer veg time I got with her, not sure if that is “normal” for her, but glad for it. I bought Blue Dreamatic‘ seeds from them too. Maybe one of those is next?

Actually, my monster Zkittles did the same thing, but I don’t think I noted it well while it was happening. I felt/hoped that Chocodope would grow fast and tall but I also wanted to take the time to document some things in my grows that I don’t think I may have been before - whether I was right or wrong. :cheesygrinsmiley: When she went into flower I noted her height at 17” and she was 27” inches when I fed her this afternoon (And I’d love a couple more inches!). :high-five:

I believe it is the (lucky) long veg time that they both got helped with the big stretch? Maybe I have good lighting? Who knows! :hmmmm:

oh! I’ve been tinkering with the Davinci, still tinkering. BUT, I demonstrated my math skills when I said I got the Explorer thingy for $10...? It was $20. Still worth it all! Thanks again. :thanks:

I think you're definitely right about that- I've always thought that if all autos would go (at least) 30 days before flowering kicks in, the seed guys would sell a lot more auto seeds- it sounds like Victory Seeds may
be getting that dialed in!

Well- I thought it was $30, you thought it was $10, and it was actually $20...that's what happens when a couple of stoners try and do the math... :)

Choco looks dope for sure.
Choco IS Dope! :laughtwo: Got another inch from her today so she is, well, Dope!:p

Well, here’s to hoping that the people breeding these gals are keen to a longer veg being a bigger/healthier plant. It would seem that perfecting it would lead to the ultimate specimen...? :high-five:

Ha! It certainly is. For a moment there I thought you said seniors. LOL!!

:ciao: Hi all. Quicky update on the plants. First is the tiny DDa. She looks like her pistils are starting to shrink a bit and she's only drinking every three days (she is tiny so maybe that's normal). Here are Trichrome pics:

Chocodope continues her stretch. Since Feb 5th she has added 12 inches to her height and since Feb 10th she has been taking a gallon feeding every day (with runoff). I really need to trim her undercarriage but I'm not sure if I should do it before she stops stretching?

I think we are finally done with snow and ice for a while and should have some beautiful, warmer weather coming soon. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. :peace:

That Chocodope just keeps gettin' bigger and better!
Glad to hear your weather is finally warming up, too- no more schlepping through the snow!

Hi all. :ciao: Hope everyone is doing well. Chocodope continues to stretch, she’s at 14” as of today. She’s been in flower for 16 days now (53 days above soil) so she must be getting ready to settle into fattening her buds soon? Also, for clarity, I am measuring from the bottom of pot to the top of the buds since she’s too bushy for me to be poking that stick into her foliage. :cheesygrinsmiley: So her above ground size is approximately 22 inches.

I was looking at a YouTube video about the lux meter I have and the guy who did the review also did a review of an app for iPhones that works well as a quantum PAR meter. It’s called Korona and right now only works with the iPhone, which I don’t have, but I thought I’d share if it’s true. I messed up dropping a link the other day and got an email about it so I’m a little afraid to do it again....but here goes. :nervous-guy:

I am seriously considering getting a second tent. :laughtwo: I’m struggling with what size. I could get a 2x2 but maybe I should go for another 2x4? Decisions, decisions. I’m sure my hubby will have something to say about that but.....I’ll have a good place to start seedlings for our garden! Sounds good anyway.

Glad to hear your weather is finally warming up, too- no more schlepping through the snow!
Ha! Seriously! Although I DO love the snow - just not when I have to schlep plants in it.
 For the challenging year. Hope it gets easier.
Thanks VG. It has been challenging. Fortunately my hubby and I have recovered from the virus and we’ve hired a lawyer to take my brother‘s estate through probate - which is a huge relief for me. Here’s the PSA for making a will! It’s not super expensive and you don’t screw over your mom with the burden of figuring all your shit out (which falls to me by default)! Anyway, hoping everything will be sorted out in 6 months or so.

Stay safe out there! :peace:

I would not schlep plants in the snow either, but as long as you have room I would recommend a 2x4 tent. Why restrict future choices of you don't have to!

Well done getting a lawyer to take care of that mess. Our first will was done with some free form off the internet!

:hmmmm:
Sorry if that wasn’t clear as mud! :laughtwo: So, she has stretched 14” so far and her current total height is around 22 inches. From the floor to her tops she is 31”. The pot she’s in is 9” tall so I subtracted 9 from 31 to get 22. She started her stretch at 17” (so 17-9 = 8” was the actual plant size when stretch started). Here I go doing math in public again. :cheesygrinsmiley: Hopefully that makes sense now? I’m a math weirdo.
