Boo’s Perpetual Grow Journal

Hey Boo!
Care to share some whisky and a doobie??
:passitleft:
I'm caught up once again.
How do you like the little smds? They look like they are working really well for you.
Plants look great.

Ha! That’s exactly what I’m doing. :passitleft:The end of a Woodford Reserve bottle...:eye-roll:
They are! Those little smds are a great tip! :thanks: In my little cabinet I moved the DreamBerry over to the lower level and finished her off under the second one. :high-five: Just harvested the lowest half today.
Thanks for taking the time catch up and good luck with the delivery tomorrow....it can be nerve wracking waiting for something super important like you are! :goodluck:

The darn Canuks got me. I'm drinking Crown.
Yeah, I'll feel better after I get my delivery. Wouldn't bother me as much if I was in a canna-friendly state.
I have a lot riding on every delivery unfortunately.
Damn. I'm gonna give myself an ulcer.

Bottoms up!:laughtwo:

Here's my trick. It doesn't work but it's still my trick.

Once the second set of true leaves start, come in at 1g/gal of megacrop. The second set you should be at 2g and hold there until the start of the fourth set. At that point I'm looking at the plant to see how fast she is growing and may go to 2.5g or 3g.
Since you are changing nute amounts quickly you can only feed small amounts of water. Enough to keep them going. That way you can add a new amount without having to wait a week for the cups or pots to dry out. I hope that makes sense.
Happy Monday!:ciao: I’ve got a quickie question. I need to feed ULH today. She’s been getting 2.5 g/gal so far and she seems pretty darned happy. Should I continue to hold there or go up to 3g/Gal? She just has a few pistils showing at the nodes right now. :thanks:

I would recommend moving up. An auto heading into flower will have much greater nutrient needs and it's better to get ahead of them at this point than be lagging through flower. I'd would say you can go to 3.5 but MrS may slap my hand.
Thanks Shed! I've been thinking about it and thought maybe I'd take a shot of her without the light on. She looks totally greeeen! :cheesygrinsmiley:

She's not completely in flower yet and 3.5 is a full gram vice the half grams ......:battingeyelashes:. Hmmmmm. My instinct is to leave her be at 2.5 until she asks for more but I'm not sure if we are at that stage yet, or are we trying to get to a certain baseline amount (g/gal) and once we reach that point we start listening to her? I am not second guessing at all, I just want to understand why I would bump when she looks so green as it is. Hopefully that makes sense? :adore:

Well I've read all the posts and nothing wrong with the advice after seeing the color. As Shed said, up to 3g will be fine. Once she starts jacking up you'll need to be on your toesies.

I would never do that. :)

Photos you try and get to a baseline of 4.5g and hold there. Autos you feed early with little water, so you can always add small amounts of food without having to wait for the substrate to dry.
I'd at least go to 3.0 unless you're watering every other day. Then you can probably wait until next time.
I agree that 3g is enough. Although it's putting out pistils it's still a small plant overall.

Looks great Boo! Nicely done.

Thanks to both of you! Yeah. I’m a little nervous with her because of the explosion last time (this plant looks much different tho btw). I will bump her to 3 gs and get my toes ready! I was re-reading the Autoseedsi description of ULH and noted this: Unlike other autos the best light cycle for Ultra Lemon Haze is 12-16 hours. It is also best to change from vegetative nutrients to flowering nutrients at week 5/6. This will ensure the best crop. I’m not sure how seriously I should take the lighting “suggestion” since it can be grown outside, so I’m gonna need to stick with the 18/6 if she is gonna share the tent with two others. (Next seed purchases will be scrutinized for this type of stuff . Oof!). :thanks:

if I've got my "french ticklers" attached in the right spots!
I decided I would be serious and let that go. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't appear to be low stress training. That kinda stopped once you lopped her head off. Now Shed has a great tutorial on this in his siggie. To me it looks like you are pulling the nodes open and not the apical(which I believe is in the garbage now). Sorry, maybe I missed something. Work is getting to me and it's only day two.

If this were still in veg some of it would be considered LST, because you are holding down the tops to let the lowers catch up. Holding down the top nodes (the new apicals) makes the plant send the auxins to the lower ones and they can catch up to the tops. That's how all my grows are now.

Once you see pistils, the plant has switched to putting its energy into flowering so new node growth is minimized.
