Boo’s Perpetual Grow Journal

You could go all international and make petit fours or Mignardises
( i got that second one from "the google" ;))

:ciao: Hi all. I hope everyone is enjoying this Memorial Day while remembering those who gave all so we could enjoy our freedom. Thank you to those who have served and are serving too.

Now, how about a game of Balls/No Balls! :cheesygrinsmiley:. Let's start with Grape Krush.

I know it’s pretty hard to tell anything definitive at this point - it’s even harder getting these pics in the wind. :cheesygrinsmiley: Enjoy!

#1 is definitely a boy, but the rest, I just don't know yet.

I agree with Stunger. :battingeyelashes:

So I think it's safe to cull #1? I haven't yet, but why continue with it if we all agree she's a he? :laughtwo:
There were four plants in slightly smaller containers that were starting to look wilty and get a little yellow on their lowers so I transplanted them into 4 gallon cloth bags today. They were PSM/GK #s 2 and 3 as well as GK #s 2 and 3. They took it in stride and haven't missed a beat so far. Here is what all of their roots looked like.

Not too bad, but not too soon either. I pulled one of the other plants out of its slightly larger container and its roots looked like this:

Doing well, but not necessary to up pot quite yet. I'm wondering if I should go ahead and start topping and training or wait to find out sex? :peace:

Woo! Boo's outside! Your closeups are soooo good!

If these are going outside without grow size restrictions you can wait to top until after sexing
Thanks Copperrein! My cell phone has an amazing camera on it. In the last couple of months I’ve broken the protective glass cover on it and now the actual glass on it. It freaked out and did some crazy shit a couple days ago…..I don’t want to have to replace it, for the camera alone!

Thanks Boo! Great advice, well taken. ;)

I'm with copper and think you can wait until you sex them to train, unless you're planning just LST for any. That should be started now.
So, I’m thinking that last year’s outdoor ladies got a little bigger than I wanted them to height wise. I also remember from last year that Pretty Momma Cinderella 99 started showing flower in July. So, today is 1 June. If I topped this week would I have enough time in veg before they started flowering? I know I’m not asking that right…. I’d like to have a big ole plant like I’m trying to do in the WSE comparative, but on a slightly larger and thoughtful scale. :cheesygrinsmiley: It doesn’t have to be rectangular but my gosh if I can train something that isn’t the hot mess last years were then….winning! I’m just not experienced enough to back the planning window into it. Make perfect sense? :laughtwo:

Your C99's were a hot mess, but that was a result of a lack of planning early on (folding plants in half is not something I consider standard operating procedure!). So any forethought is a leg up. :)

Topping outside plants early makes for much wider plants, and topping later makes for big bushes. Wider plants might need more support in flower because the branches have a lower center of gravity, and taller plants would (preferably) have the tops held flat until the lowers catch up.

Straight LST (as opposed to top and train) works well on outside plants because it keeps them low and easy to work on, but it will require tying down the branches far beyond the pot (if you're lucky). Easy though if you don't have to carry them through the door! Tent stakes anyone?

Your plants will be growing in size pretty much through August, which is plenty of time for whatever training you decide on.

Yes, yes they were. Absolutely no planning went into the entire grow…

Oh yeah, but I DID IT! :high-five:

Thank you. Im trying to lean forward. :cheesygrinsmiley:

I‘d. like to try for a big bush (or 5) please!

Yeah, so that makes it slightly more difficult. But I won’t be a stealth grow by then.

Okay cool. I’m not gonna worry about it right now then. I’ll just keep on keepin‘ on until it’s time. :peace:
