Blueberry - Organic Soil - 600W LED - First Grow

Well if it's done properly and you have a good soil you could go 6.6 or so but if you are putting in 7 you should be around 6.5. If it's not happening try 6.8 which is still too high for me
6.5 run off is still to high for u? Sorry i just want to understand what u consider to high of a ph

6.5 run off is pretty good but I like to stay around 6.3-6.4 I know it's only a point but I pull good numbers sticking to my PH. The trouble is some soils and soiless mixes can't seem to be stable on PH. We all can agree PH is important, in my opinion most important. I needed a mix that would remain stable. I started making different mixes until I was able to keep everything stable. Now that everything is stable I seem to have way less problems as I did years ago.

Ok thanks for the input demonic

You can always take others advice as well we all have the same goal and that's to produce great cannabis and save money. Weather we are rec. Users or medical users we have the right to keep things green and enjoy a great harvest.
Yeah someone commented on ask us anything forum saying something else but idk its pretty hard to decide what to do from here as i only want to do whats best for the girls as we all do.

Well it's all on you. I can sometimes make things complicated for others to understand and that being said we do also have the right to keep things simple lol

Yeah if only growing grade A cannabis was simple. Lol i always feel like a scientist reading about this stuff and checking ppm and ph and all that other fun stuff we do haha

Im using ff happy frog
Oh not another one lol. That could be part of your problem. People have been having troubles with their soil lately. Just earlier today someone had posted about gnats in FFOF soil. You would think for the money they are changing people they would be using better medium? I've been thinking they are using cheaper substitutes in their mixes as of late.

Hmm maybe i was thinking when i was using it to the ff soil does not seem all that or top of the line

I have some advice here based on my direct experience. Here goes...

Don't use those self expanding peat pellets. They are either too wet or too dry. Poor results every time with these #$!@$% things. :)

Don't use peat pots. Water leaches out of them so fast into the atmosphere, it makes it hard to maintain proper moisture levels.

Do soak your seeds in distilled or RO water for 12 hours when starting out. After 12 hours transfer them to a plate with paper towels till germinated.

Do transfer your germinated seeds to plastic pots of some kind. One liter size or larger. Not peat pots. the bigger sized pots are far more water stable. Plant them very gentle, root down and the seed head no more than 1/4 inch deep.

Once your germinated seeds poke through the soil, work diligently to light harden them. When the seed husk drops off, place them 6 feet away from strong lighting. Every 2 to 3 hours, move them closer. Be sharp about this! Too little light and they will bolt and too much light they will die. Watch them closely as you move them closer. You must baby sit them during this time. Soon they will be able to handle full strength light.

Trust this helps - Best of luck.

Cheers

Sorry, one more thing.

Bolting is where the stem of the seedling gets far too long and often falls over. This is the plant reaching for the light source and it means the seedling is too far away from the light.

If bolting happens and the seedling is still alive and undamaged, you can transplant them VERY gently to another pot and bury that stem that's too long.

Remember when moving them closer to the light, a little at a time, a little closer every few hours, watch it like a hawk.

Cheers

Well guys im the odd man out i used a mix of those soils and perlite. 50% ocean forest 30% happy frog and 20% perlite.. very happy customer atm.

It could be the storage conditions and not the soil. If you store the soil outside in a warm wet environment with bugs there are little holes in every bag of potting soil and bugs will 100% go into those holes and lay eggs in that that warm bag of soil they love it. I believe thats where most of those problems come from, not from the manufacturer but from the storage conditions thereafter.

You need some ocean forest though happy frog is just for seedlings and they are getting bigger now. I used a mix cause the happy frog has lots of beneficial bacteria and humic acid that allows your plants root system to grow big and strong. But when i did my first transplant i used ocean forest with happy frog and didnt have those problems. Perlite is great too helps with drainage and soil compacting too much.

Also those pots that you have them in are not good for the ph, they may be attributing to the lockout. Please take them out of those pots before you transplant. Hope this helps!

You need to pot them in some different soil, that looks like mostly wood bark and wood chips. My guess is their starving for nutrients. Is the ph still running high?
