Blueberry And Harlot

One week flower, getting a bit crowded. Trimmed and fed. I'm watering every three days, feeding every other watering.

The tall Harlot at the back won't flower. I think it might be a male, but isn't showing either way. Everyone else is moving right along 2 weeks after flipping. Anyone else ever get a stubborn plant? I'm thinking of pulling it.

I've never heard of a plant refusing to flower.
Do you think she needs a longer dark period?

It's been an oddball from the start, pale leaves with shriveled tips, like there was a nute or ph problem but treated exactly the same as all the other plants, which are healthy. I'm thinking its just poor overall condition.

I pulled that plant, so the tent's not so crowded. Watered with 1250 ppm Advanced nutrients, still heavy on the Grow feed. The two big plants dry out to about 1750 grams each, I water them with 1.5 litres each (every three days) half in the bottom of the sip and half from the top.

Three weeks flower. They are starting to drink more, the Blueberry was quite droopy this morning.

Watered plus calmag. Air circulation seemed pretty poor so I did a good thinning and also pruned some lower buds. The small plant on the left looks like a mini Christmas tree. Blueberry is shaping up nicely. Pinched some nasty pollen sacs from the big Harlot though. Looks like I caught them right in time. I'll keep a close eye on that one....

I had to pull the smallest Harlot as it revealed a bunch of pollen sacs all at once. Not the below-the-buds kind that I'm familiar with, but right in the heart of the buds. Anyway, I think I got it out in the nick. It was almost five weeks. I just tried a tester that has been drying/curing for over a week and it's got a nice kick. Yielded 11 grams dried. The phenotype was strange on that plant from the start. Decent smoke though.

The Harlot seems to be a pretty fast finisher, so I've been keeping an eye on it. She is at 7 /12 weeks, maybe half cloudy and a fair bit of amber. I was going to giver her three more days, but I noticed the bottom third of the two little Pure Kush clones were looking pretty ragged. Dreaded thrips.

I trashed all the lower branches and shook the shit out of the top ones. Top buds looked good, I trimmed them close. Got about 3/4 of an oz there. I decided to harvest the Harlot right away. Didn't really see any damage, when I shook it over parchment paper just a few thrips fell off. I cut her up and shook the crap out of the branches. After I trimmed everything down I didn't find a single thrip on the parchment. Phew. Yielded just under 2 1/4 oz.

That leaves just the Blueberry; still some white pistils, probably needs another 10 days. I shook her out, found one thrip. Don't see any damage. I sprayed the lower part of the stem and the soil with End-all. I will keep a close eye.

So a bit of a disaster more or less averted. I did a lot more pruning of lower buds this time and I was happy with the results on the Harlot. The Blueberry is a lot bigger and I think she will hit the 4 oz mark.

Nine weeks. Still quite a few fresh pistils. I figured she'd be done by now and cut out the nutes already. I may have to give her one more feed....
