Blue Mystic In Canna Terra Pro Using Cheap LED

No pics this morning, but a couple updates.

Flowering is going well...I am waiting until they start to fatten up a bit to take more pics. Quite happy with what is happening in there anyway. The temps have been rising up to 90°F or just above with RH between 40-50. I have a 5000 btu AC running throughout the apartment, but these last few days it is barely keeping up. It is cutting the humidity, but not cooling the air quite enough. Not sure if I will ride it out or get an additional unit or just get a bigger one.

New seedlings are going strong. The final Nepal Jam poke through the soil with a shell helmet on....seemed to shake that off through the night and looks perfectly fine....so I can stop worrying about her. I got my 4 plants.

The last bit is I am pulling the trigger on the DBHBB bulk kit today hopefully. Waiting to hear back from Canna Pharms, but it should be soon. They have always been real good at quick responses.

Enjoy the heat!

Day 34

My first moment of real panic this morning.....I checked in last night and knew it was close to feeding time. I thought it could wait until morning, but it was not the case. I am not phased my the "droop" anymore since I have seen how easily they bounce back. This morning though a few of the tops closest to the light were crispy. Temp was showing 109°F/35RH.....fuck.

I got up this morning just before lights out and really glad I didn't sleep in today. I realized the timer has shifted about 30 mins clicking off thirty minutes later. Must of had a power outage sometime and I haven't noticed.

So I got them soaked with scheduled nutes and took the dog for a coffee run and let the plants have some time to bounce back. When I got back I moved the AC from the back of the house to the front (right beside the tent)....I should of had it like this from the start, but I am worried the breaker is gonna trip. I am pretty certain this is gonna happen, but I have the whole weekend to assess and modify. Just moving the AC into the room has dropped the temp inside the tent to 85°F. The AC is a portable and the cool air is blowing right at the air intake.

I took some pics just before leaving and about an hour after water. The 5 gallon bounced back 100%....but is looking a bit dark green. Maybe I am feeding too heavy? The 15 gallon is struggling. I will see how it is after the day.

Wow...talk about stress!!
She survived...but barely.
Getting thru this grow is proving to be a major challenge.....who ever said it was easy....cheers Seedling.
Absolutely.....with only three or four weeks to go at that!!!!
Remember though....this is my test run mostly for environment. I knew I was pushing it with the heat....and I pushed it too far. I am really gonna have to upgrade this AC soon. I have 5000btu going and really I need at least 10,000.

I have been watching the tent this past week and it has been holding between 85 to 90 the past couple weeks. The heat here is just getting outta control with highs of 35° C outside.

...I'm wondering if anyone has tried one of those arctic air coolers?...supposedly they DO work...but...the caveat is they also produce a lot of humidity...given your lower RH and their small size(could prolly fit in your tent) might work for Ya'...just thinkin' out loud...cheerz... :high-five:...h00k...:hookah:...

Not sure what that is....I will have to look it up. My RH has been pretty good for the most part. I have not seen it below 45 in a while. I think the low RH was just due to the dry pots. When I took the pics this morning it had climbed to 65 in no time....

A few quick pics with the lights on....I am terrified of these drying out or heating up again.....this past weekend was much cooler outside and in. I saw 66°F in the tent one morning.....so that is great. Right now it is sitting at 79°F/40RH....I am happy with that. The 15 gallon really took a beating...lost a lot of fan leaves. The 5 gallon has a few scars, but looks ok still. I think the big difference was the distance from the light.....the 15 gallon is really too close. In a tent this size I wouldn't use anything larger than a 7 gallon. The 5 actually seems like a perfect size for this tent.

Hang in there Seedling. Much learned, much gained...:high-five:
It's a crash course run! Temps could be much lower outside the tent, that is for sure. I need to upgrade the AC in here, that is 100% needed. I also know through the winter the humidity gets really, really low. It is gonna be a whole different battle come winter time. I am happy to be learning. I am excited to see how this kit works.

You will find the kit is almost too easy TBH! Nothing is written in stone but it's HIGHLY recommended you follow instructions for , at least the first couple runs ....just to get a bit of a feel for it. It , however takes much , much longer to figure out how to 'read' the leaves . They tell all, remember that. Doc , has for the most part , taken the guess work out of it for us, so. Also ,our DBHBB soil does NOT have to be discarded after 3 runs either, ..ok. When u get there , there are things you can do , to make it last much , much longer. Cheers.:high-five:

If you have the room, keep growing her, if not, cull her.

Folks that have the seed will start more than they will grow to maturity, keeping the best plants and culling only as they need the space. At this point, all she costs you is nutrients and water. She may grow out to be the best of the bunch. Even if she doesn't, you'll have a spare if something happens to another of your plants.

I will definitely let her grow out and see how she turns out. If it is looking rough later on in veg I could cull...I could still start another at this point though.
