his free seed offer is also pretty amazing, if you buy just 1 seed you will always get 3 seeds free, 1 will be a femenised or auto fem, the other 2 will be regular and usually a new strain thats not released yet, at the moment it was white widow x skunk#1, this is a new strain that will be released pretty soon under its new name, but herbie says its a really nice strain according to the breeder,
i only use herbies, his seeds are top quality and ive only had problems with 1 seed, i ordered a fem seed which i usually do along side regular seeds and one turned out male, now femenised does not always mean you will have female plants as its still possible to have the odd male turn up, doubtful but it does happen and its why they call them femenised and not female seeds, anways this one turned out male so let herbie know and he replaced it with 2 femenised seeds of the same strain from a different breeder in my next order,
so from my own experience i would shop at herbies, if you do place an order with him in the comments box drop my screen name and also mention you are part of this site, that way he knows we are all from the same community and speak with each other, it keeps the
sponsors happy and also gives us the odd bonus seed when you order a few times, ive had extra seeds, tins of mints that come in a seed tin so you can store seeds in it, ive had plant pot markers as well, so you really cant fault herbies,
the more your spend the more your get free but the free seeds are not just cheap strains as ive had some amazing strains with the free seeds, so you cant go wrong with herbies,
if you go on to herbies site, then look down right hand side of the screen and click on pick n mix, this then lists all the single seeds, so you can buy 1 of any strain femenised,auto or regular so you dont have to buy a pack of 10, so click on pick n mix then when that screen loads up use the search boxes on the left hand side and search for what you want like femenised or auto or search by price range which is what i do, if you search by price range and pick say 0 to 20, then it lists all the seeds in that price range starting from lowest price to highest, some seeds cost as little as £1 so herbies prices are spot on,
i cant help with the led's lights, i know saras lights are a great price if your looking to go with leds, if your going to build your own then to produce something that will be of any use you will need more leds and a much higher wattage else it will have very little impact on the growth,
the other option you have is cfls the household type energy saving light bulbs, the best lumin to watt ratio are the 23 watt cfls, the 2700 kelvin cfls are for flower and the 6400kelvin are for veg, the orange looking lights you use in your house are 2700k and the white or blue light are the 6400k cfls, i found the 2700k cfls are very easy to get hold of, most super markets sell them in packs of 4 plus i found out you can usually find them for free, some energy companies send them out in packs of 4 for free or even in some news papers they run free energy saving light bulbs, but these will all be the 2700k regular household type which are best for flower,
i had problems getting the 6400k cfls, i had to get them of the rainforest sounding site but i did find a toolstation place that sold them but they was listed with their security lights and was a replacement cfls for one of their flood lights, these where 30watt 6400k cfls,
