Soilless like ProMix and Coco are fairly similar. Neither have any included nutes so you are controlling what they eat. To me the biggest difference is that Coco dries out quicker and should allow for more air to the roots unless you're amending your ProMix with extra perlite or using their HP (high porosity) mix. Coco is also more pH neutral than ProMix or peat based products. Peat is naturally acidic so the manufacturer has to amend it to balance it out. At least where I am, it's much easier to find ProMix, and it's cheaper. I was born and raised in a green house (we did spring annuals for the yard and tropical hous plants) and used tons (literally) of ProMix. Everyone seems to gravitate to what the learned on or are more used to, that's probably why I chose ProMix to start with.

Awesome great info well I'm bout to give my girls another feeding 2day so I'll make sure to get sum run off I'll have to take them some where to do it otherwise they will leak water everywhere lol I never used to water till I seen run off unless I did a flush but I'm wanting to get some big beasts going in my garden lol

i figured id show a few shots of the strain im making here are the clones i threw into flower to sex them then decided to let them finish out lol plus i figured i would take a few new shots with my new phone and get a couple of nice triche shots as well but yea here are phenos 1, 2 and 3 #1 is taller then #s 2 and 3 but #3 has the best of both strains for smell profile

I used some thin clear plastic ones for a while but they were prone to getting leaks. I finally broke down and got some nice thick plant saucers from that online company named after a big river in South America.

Yeah I love this phone lol it's the new s9 n it works wonders. Hey I had a question about my plants. How do u know when they r about 2 weeks till they r fone? I'm wondering cuz one of my nutes is a bloom booster to be used the last 2 weeks of flowering so I was just wondering how to tell when tht is lol?

I'd say when the tricomes are about 30% clear and 70% cloudy, you're probably about 2 weeks out. Thats if I'm shooting for 70% cloudy and 30% Amber at the finish. Buds at the very top will be a little more mature than those a little lower down so I'll usually look at the 2nd or 3rd one down to guage. My eyes aren't what they once we're so I bought a 60x-120x mini microscope so I can see the tricomes good. The 40x jewlers loupe I bought at first just didn't cut it for me.

So hopefully by my next round I'll have my rdwc system setup and running tht way I can train the branches out more so it don't get so close to the light since I can't raise the light any more in this tent lol but yeah so far this thing works wonders

Yeah I thought the sne thing till I went n looked up videos on others who grew this strain n at around 10 to 12 weeks they seemed fully done n I'm at about 9 1/2 weeks now so figured more as well start the overdrive

Check on the back label, but I'm pretty sure your girlfriend bought the version of Promix that is the same as sunshine #4 . A good mix + mycos without the embedded NPK fertilizer stuff.

I would use that bag with a coots mix or doc buds mix without hesitation.

The yellow leaves bother me - looks like either a PH problem or wet feet. With your soil, PH shoud not be an issue.

If you are in a 3 gallon and water that size plant more than once overy 10-30 days you are probably watering too much.

When using peat based soil mix, the peat gets mixed 1/3-1/3-1/3 with humus and aeration then add in amendments. But the most important input is the humus. The amendments are there for the long haul as there's no feeding going on other than the bacteria/fungi feeding and protecting the plants.

Not sure why you use coco when you used peat by the ton.. Peat is a much better growing medium?? I would think a soil less medium like DWC would be a better choice than growing in Coco and using the hydroponic nutrients?? I'm just talking out my ass tho I have no idea about any of those alternatives to soil..

Your plants are looking good... you can edit the pics after upload and flip them right side up but ya gotta do it within 420 minutes or something like that.

I wouldn't do anything about the white top there.. that bud will have a higher concentration of THC ...sometimes its not light burn but something similar to leaf variegation where there's little or no chlorophyll in that part of the flower... we don't need no stinkin chlorophyll anyway... better taste without it! I gotta have the flower right in the light to burn it... like an inch away ....

Yea I do but I'm jus not getting big as buds like u when I do my los mix and I'm pretty sure its cause of my environment and me not knowing exactly what to give them and when exactly tht it's not making big snuff harvests for me but I haven't given up I think I'm gonna try uppoting a few times b4 I flip to flower and jus start each time with fresh amended soil and see if tht dnt work cause I keep getting small leafy buds and the bottoms keep dieing and it keeps happening to a lot of my plants now dnt get me wrong I do get good plants but it's like 3out of 5 r shity while the other 2 r great lol I wanna change tht around. But yea so far I seem to notice yes the los is the easiest jus water and go and every now and then give some teas n keep up on the ipms but for consistency come harvest time I think so far would be hempy but I'm sure by the looks of things my dwc setup will surpass tht ur who knows of it will always end in p like tht we will c after a few harvests I suppose Haha but yea I love organics for the taste so the los was great n the only nutes so far tht even come close to the same flavor is remo nutes they r amazing and they give me great results each time so I'm curious to see how it does in a hydro setup but I'm gonna wait till I get my rdwc setup up and going tht way it will be easier to check nutes and everything right now I use the ph perfect in my dwc setup n tht says it lasts a week b4 j need to change it and i do every 5 days so far it's working great n I love jus having to dump nutes ina Bucket n go no having to adjust ph thts a bitch on my back since I have no table to mix my shit I gotta do it on the floor n the bending over so much kills me thts y I wanted to try hempy cause 3 to 5 gallons of perlite plus a plant or 10 to 15 gallons of soil plus plant lol soil is way heavier but I can't give it up completely so I just gonna back it down to only 2 or 3 of my los n right now I'm currently working on making a 6 to 8 bucket hydro station and run them all threw my rdwc (recirculating deep water culture) tht I'm gonna make once i get my next check.

So far I'm liking it way more then sunshine since the shine is almost 50 dam doll hairs n the pro is only 13.47 lol and so far the girls r liking It i think lol i was kinda rough n the transplant on my one girl so she will take a day r 2 to bounce back but my other one is still having weird coloring going on on her leaves but I figured it would take her a bit to readjust back to normal now I adjusted the ph to 6.0

Oh n yea i had the s7 b4 this 1 n i loved tht thing i took some great shots with it it has a great camera but i still want able to get the triche shots I was looking for I figured I would need to get a computer desktop n an actual camera but then I got this fone lol but yea the s7 is still a great but good luck with I suggest u get a case or something to protect it if it falls the back can break very easily n then ur camera gets messed up

ProMix is for well .....professional landscapers, they can just pass on the cost of ingredients to the customer. It's over priced for us. Landscapers get a special price not extended to the rest of the world.

Ok so I just put one of my girls into a 15 gallon pot for the first time ever lmao it's so dam huge Haha but hopefully I can turn this girl into a beast I plan to veg her out into a monster lol I cut the top of her off so that way it would make a more even canopy plus allow the lower branches to grow out more so that way I can get more side branching going on at least thts the plan lol. Actually I have a question about my promix girls with the remo nutes should I be adding in cal-mag since I'm using ro water? I do nute feeding nute feeding then plain ro water with cal-mag and repeat is that a good method or should I do things differently u think?
