Has anyone ever used a speouting lid or anything else to germinate just curious whatbthe best way is for me seeing how my tap water sucks
Never used a sprouting lid but I germinate using distilled water: bowl or paper towel method, into peat pucks. They don't get tap (aired out at least 24 hours and then pH'd) until they're in the pots.

Peat pucks are what your sprouted seedlings go into. There a number of good youtube videos on how to use them. You first soak the puck in warm water to get it to swell. Let it cool a bit. Then you very gently pick up the seed (at this point with a tail) with your fingers or a tweezers and place it tail down into a ¼" deep hole you have made in the puck with a pencil. Push some of the peat to the center to cover the seed and gently press down on the top of the peat. Did I mention gently enough? Then put it where it stays warm and light (light so it will see it the second it breaks the surface) and keep it moist with distilled water. Once it has sprouted and you see the tap root coming out of the bottom, gently take off the screen cover on the peat pot and plant it (the peat not the cover
) in the medium of your choice!You may be referring to back building where you clip the very top of the bud once, when it is past the halfway point in flowering. It creates more uniform shaped buds but there is a lot of discussion as to whether it increases yield. It seems to be used primarily for looks rather than weight.

All the big girls are looking hungry, Moira especially, I think she got flushed out a little too good last watering:/ no worry, were gunna pump them full of nutes tomorrow :3

Really liking this growing thing :3 I've been making room and playing Tetris in my bedroom so that when the flowering tent comes I have a full wall to put it on so I can get into either side
Also good news people... ladies! All around! My sis helped spot pistils on all of the ladies, of course I'm paranoid so I'll keep watching, but smiles here!
On that note tomorrow's feeding will consist of a pk bump and then we will change the lights to 13 11 at the end of the day :3 hell yes! We finally made it ! Really glad I have more plants on the go, not feeling too sad about it lol but definitely excited for the show !
Anyways I'm super tired and high and rambly so ima drop some pics here and maybe hang and smoke a joint then I'm going to bed .

I'm doing good Newty! Had a busy day reorganizing the grow room and cleaning everything, getting ready for the new 4x4 n lights on their way!
Also took some time to make some watering rings today :3
Didn't even get to watering the girls so flip will wait till tomorrow XD i wanna make sure everything is just right . also don't wanna bother with programming the timer XD I'll let my sis do it again .
Totally reorganized my whole room and cleared a whole.closet for grow equipment and got notepads for each tent and cleaned and vacuumed everything :3 really excited to get my mars stuff set up and have lots of space for fun stuff!
I'm not totally done so I'm back to it for a bit now, but it's nice to have a day to completely redo my space! It looks professional lol .

All props to TMD on that idea! All I did after was take a 1/8" drill bit and drill holes horizontally about 1.5 inches apart and then a couple down for drainage!
Test run worked fine!
