Bigirishdoode Does Hempy Bag Seed - 2 Liter CFL Fox Farm - Small Closet

i'll tell you guys that light is awesome, it puts out soo much more than the almost 400 watts worth of cfl i was using, and the room was running cooler overall the average temp is 5 degrees cooler with lights on! thats a surprise!,, and i may be crazy but i swear my girls were like "wtf? what is that? idk but i love it!!", i swear they turned towards it and started reaching for the light almost instantly! and after a few hours they looked noticably bigger in their stance , i cant wait to see them tomorrow!!:thumb:

Awww man you're getting me all worked up and more excited about getting mine...I am so happy for you, you just don't know...:adore:

i see your thinking on coco,,i can say that you Will NOT REGRET IT!! its far easier to deal with than soil it is more forgiving and easier to fix and work with, its cleaner, i even grow my indoor veggies in it you can put it in regular pot or make a hempy style container out of anything,,heres a series of shots for you showing how i prep a brick it takes 10 to 15 minutes to be ready for pots i use 2 gallons of water pre charged with bpn nutes very diluted about 1/4 to 1/8th strength, mix in a little pearlite (optional) i do that to make it go a little further it is amazing stuff my plants grow 100-200% faster no lie!! heres the pics

I did the same and stressed that Mermier These seeds are still keep happening. My sister came from San Diego and the first thing I wanted was a part of everything that MJ. In short, if it works for you grow.

Thanks for the pics, Irish. I really appreciate that. Now can you tell me how many of those bricks are needed to fill a gallon pot and a 3 gallon pot? How long is it go for? Just one grow or can you reuse?

I am thinking about switching to coco as well but I am going to mix coco and worm castings. I have seen such an explosion since I started using worm castings and I feel like w/c will be in my grow medium from now on. Has anyone tried the worm castings/coco combo yet? Is their any special name brand or style (in coco) that I should get? Thanks a bunch, LI

qtl,, that amount i just did will be enough to fill at least 6, 2 liter bottles because it did last time, it expands 4-8 times its brick size, there is no cheaper medium the first time you use it,but after you have used the same recycled medium for 3-4 grows its insanely economical and super "green", i swear by it!!!

lord indica,,i think w/c are just fine to use especially a tea form ,i do it with no ill effects, there are many brands i think htg supply sells one pre charged with organics including w/c , i personaly just get the cheapest i can find, the last batch i got was 5 bricks for about 20-25 buxks on ebay it was pre washed so well i didnt need to rinse it, most coco nowadays is that clean, but its always a good idea to check some runoff water for salt/ppm the before using it, or just fill your pots with hydrated coco and then run a bunch of tap thru or ro,or distilled its your choice, and remember with coco you can never over water, i have tried! and you simply cant even tho it holds 7 -9 times its weight in water or nute solution, its the best medium to grow in barre none!!,it all but eliminates a whole host of common problems and mistakes we can make! :thumb: before i started using it i thought a "hydro " medium was not for me, buy what i was hung up on was that it was using the word hydro but now after using it to me its just a "super" soil replacement and i wish i had never hesitated, now i will probably never not use it!!

Hey B.I.D. I can see how it would be and I thank you for the heads up. Now I CA'nT WAiT! To use it... I wish I would have found this post 2 weeks earlier lol. So, how many grows can it be used for before it is discarded? I am sure you need to flush it out so I am guessing it could go for a while huh? It makes perfect sense just because of the availability of oxygen around the roots as well as making it impossible to Over water them. I'm sold I can't wait to try it out, I already have some nice strains in mind to use. See it's little tidbits of info like that, that could cause the mad scientist in me to never leave the lab. (like thats a bad thing) Cool:thanks:

LI i have heard you can go up to 5-6 grows depending on when you notice it starting to degrade, and good thorough flushing/cleaning is key to it lasting, i would refrain from using any kind of pelletized nutes/additives as they can create problems beyond the first use, if i go to 5 grows with my current coco it would make my cost to fill a 2 liter hempy about 10 cents per use/grow!!! i have reused 3 times with my tomatoes, the coco looks the same as the new stuff and the tomatoes are bigger this time,,im done looking for a grow meduim for all the things i grow!!:adore:

Yeah I think that I will be switching over as well. I fail to see any downside aside from availability here in my area. Did you say you ordered online? I am getting ready to start my second batch of peppers and tomatoes for my salsa. Salsa is a topic on its own so I won't go there. But I am So glad for this forum. The experience from it's online users is awesome and its things like this right here, that makes it so much more than you would have in other horticultural endeavors. Okay sounding a little like a late night infomercial there for a second but it's true. Thanks for the heads up again. Cha-ching! I love saving money!:adore:
