Thanks for the update. We can't wait to see the pics!Just wanted to pop in and say how great my Citral Glues are doing. Day 60 today, and they look great. Plants are bending a bit, as the main colas are really packing in the weight. Resin is absolutly nuts.....the skunk pheno's are very sweet- and are a bit behind with some new pistil activity on top of the buds. The G.G pheno's are just about done.......in the more we'll done stuff, i'm seeing just a tiny bit of amber although I haven't looked in a few day. Will probably wait til the weekend and cutting the most done plants, going another week for the rest. Stinky shit for sure, I couldn't be happier with the product. The flush has begun, and I'm already seeing some yellowing.......pic's will be up after harvest for all to enjoy.
I'll increase ppm if they need it . No sense in raising it too high and blowing through nutrients like it's nothing.Me too. On this round trip haven't been above 700 ppm in flower. Also using a micro feeding technique now that is cutting way down on my consumption.
Nutrients can be expensive!Im learning that less is more in most cases, gardens looking top notch BB
Cal/mag is always necessaryWith the sativa influences in this strain, and the use of LED's, a reduce nutrient level is definitely necessary. I can usually pump up my plants to 1200-1300 ppm, these leveled off around 800-900 ppm and did just fine. I wish I would have kept the N levels a bit higher, but I ran the Cal/Mag levels lower than any other plants in recent memory.
I agree, I think alot of people uses way to much nutes. Imo if a plant wants more it will let you know, if it's looking good and thriving then it's getting everything it needs. For veg I try to keep around 600-700ppm Max and for full flower I usually feed 650-800ppm. I've not had any deficiencies and my plants always look good feeding at that ppm.I'll increase ppm if they need it . No sense in raising it too high and blowing through nutrients like it's nothing.
I agree with you on watching your plants react to different variables. This is why it's important to watch your plants daily.......the dark green had more to do (probably) with too much nitrogen, not necessary too much fertilizer overall. My plants never over-green up when I over-fertilize- but the tips of leaves will brown up/crisp up which is the tell tale sign of over-fertilization. At the first sign, flush the pots a bit to dilute the concentration in the pots and in a few days, things will return to normal.
Sativa's and their hybrids generally can't handle as high a nutrient level as indica's, and plants don't need as much fertilizer under lower light levels i.e. LED's, and higher temps.
I've decided to start chopping on Saturday, which would be 65 days. It will take me 2-3 days to finish, depending on how I feel and my energy level since there is no rush on my end. I'll leave the skunk pheno's for last, but the G.G. leaning pheno's are definitely further along in the Citral Glue strain.......
